Position Summary
The Associate Wealth Advisor role is an exciting opportunity to work with a planning-centric advisory team dedicated to designing, building, and protecting the financial dreams of individuals and families. This position involves partnering with Wealth Advisors to maintain and enhance client relationships through active participation in the financial planning process. Responsibilities include creating and implementing strategies in retirement, risk management, tax, estate, and investment planning.
Primary Responsibilities
- Develops a mastery of Focus Partner Wealth’s evidence-based investment philosophy.
- Resource and collaboration with other Associate Wealth Advisors (AWAs) at Focus Partners Wealth.
- Create, edit, and present financial plans through Money Guide Elite and Holistiplan.
- Mastery of technology stack including Salesforce, Orion, ShareFile, and custodian websites.
- Creates a personalized Investment Policy Statement and holistic investment strategy for each client.
- Ability to independently lead client communications and interactions.
- Develop an understanding of the fundamentals of trading. Partner with the Portfolio Management team to approve & execute portfolios, trade recommendations, tax loss harvesting, etc.
- Diligent recording of client communication and information within client relationship management platform.
- Serves as the day-to-day contact for client needs and collaborates with team members to ensure the highest level of service.
- Complete client billing reviews and collaborate with the billing department to ensure compliance.
- Engage in advisory team business planning efforts and actively support the firm’s strategic priorities.
- Ability to business develop in a team environment.
- Independently interact and communicate with clients through emails, calls, and client presentations
Lead a select number of client relationships. - Identify advanced planning opportunities and develop internal best practices.
- Lead the development of financial planning recommendations to clients.
- Ability to meet with clients in person. Some travel may be required.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree
- 4+ years financial planning experience
- Series 65
- Professional certification CFP, CFA or CPA/ PFS preferred.
- Proven experience in financial analysis, modeling, and strategic planning.
- Strong understanding of investment strategies, risk management, tax planning, and estate planning.
- Strong interpersonal communication skills; team-orientated approach
- Knowledge of financial industry, financial products, and financial planning concepts
- Proficiency in financial software and tools for modeling and analysis, as well as CRM tools
- Clean U4
The annualized base pay range for this role is expected to be between $97,000 - $105,000/year. Actual base pay could vary based on factors including but not limited to experience, subject matter expertise, geographic location where work will be performed, and the applicant's skill set. The base pay is just one component of the total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include an annual cash bonus and a comprehensive benefits package.
