Bookkeeper

Position Summary

Focus Partners Wealth is seeking a Bookkeeper ideally  with entertainment business management experience to join our team of dedicated professionals. This role is hybrid out of Calabasas, CA. You will be working with a wide range of clients – from producers and touring artists to icons in film and television. The primary responsibility of this role is client accounting and transactions processing.

Responsibilities

  • Manage day to day multiple client activities including processing accounts receivable and accounts payable
  • Perform credit card and bank reconciliations
  • Manage multiple monthly, quarterly and annual processes
  • Prepare/review 1099 reports
  • Prepare journal entries
  • Other projects and duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma required
  • 2+ years with entertainment business management is highly preferred
  • 3+ years experience with Excel
  • Experience with AgilLink software is highly preferred
  • Solid organizational skills with great attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
  • Self-directed, ability to handle new tasks with little direction
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to effectively work in a client focused team environment, building a spirit of cooperation, and sharing knowledge and skills with others in the group
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills


This is a non-exempt, overtime eligible position. The annualized base pay range for this role is expected to be between $75,000 - $80,000.  Actual base pay could vary based on factors including but not limited to experience, subject matter expertise, geographic location where work will be performed, and the applicant's skill set.  The base pay is just one component of the total compensation package for employees.  Other rewards may include an annual cash bonus and a comprehensive benefits package.
