Senior Salesforce Administrator

Position Summary

The Senior Salesforce Administrator will serve as the lead for end-user support and Salesforce administration, providing operational leadership across the admin function while supporting enterprise CRM initiatives. This role is responsible for ensuring high-quality user support, consistent administrative execution, and effective delivery of Salesforce projects in partnership with Architects and Developers.

Reporting to the Head of CRM, the Senior Salesforce Administrator will act as the primary escalation point for complex user issues, help translate business requirements into administratively sound solutions, and guide associate and mid-level administrators through day-to-day execution. While not owning the platform or architecture, this role plays a critical leadership function in driving adoption, maintaining operational excellence, and ensuring the Salesforce ecosystem reliably supports business operations at scale.

The ideal candidate brings deep Salesforce administration expertise, a strong end-user mindset, proven experience supporting enterprise CRM environments, and the ability to lead through influence in a multi-role delivery model.

This role is located in St. Louis, MO and is hybrid with 3 days/week onsite.

Primary Responsibilities

  •  Serve as a senior member of the Salesforce Helpdesk, acting as the primary escalation point for 1LS and 2LS support issues, ensuring timely triage, resolution, and communication to end users.
  •  Lead day-to-day end-user support operations, troubleshooting functional issues, identifying root causes, and coordinating with Architects and Developers when issues require design or code-level intervention.
  •  Provide operational leadership to associate and mid-level Administrators, guiding execution, reviewing work, and ensuring consistent application of administrative standards and best practices.
  •  Manage Salesforce user administration, including profiles, roles, permission sets, access controls, and license utilization, ensuring compliance with security and governance requirements.
  •  Identify, prioritize, and resolve system issues, defects, and data related problems impacting end users, while documenting resolutions and contributing to long term stability improvements.
  •  Ensure data quality and integrity through ongoing monitoring, duplicate management, validation strategies, and support of data migrations and data remediation efforts.
  •  Configure and support Salesforce and related applications through declarative customization, including automation, user interface configuration, and data model support, in alignment with architectural guidance.
  •  Develop, maintain, and enhance reports and dashboards to support operational visibility and business decision-making.
  •  Support Salesforce initiatives by participating in requirements gathering, solution validation, and user acceptance testing, ensuring solutions meet business requirements and are operationally supportable.
  •  Identify opportunities to improve business processes and user experience, proactively recommending enhancements that increase efficiency, adoption, and data quality.
  •  Develop a deep understanding of business processes to ensure delivered solutions address root causes and align with business objectives.
  •  Support the ongoing scalability, performance, and reliability of Salesforce by identifying operational risks and collaborating with Architects and Developers on mitigation strategies.
  •  Ensure Salesforce and integrated applications adhere to security, compliance, and governance standards, supporting audits and control reviews as required.
  •  Support Salesforce DevOps and change management processes, including release readiness, deployment coordination, and post-release validation.
  •  Partner with cross-functional stakeholders, Analysts, Architects, and Developers to support project delivery, helping document technical requirements and ensure solutions are scalable, supportable, and aligned with platform standards.

 

Qualifications

  •  Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  •  6+ years of hands-on Salesforce experience, including automation, and solution support.
  •  Salesforce certifications such as; Advanced Administrator, Platform App Builder.
  •  Strong expertise in Salesforce Financial Services Cloud, Sales Cloud, Service Cloud and Experience Cloud (preferred).
  •  Proficiency in flows, validation rules, reports, dashboards, and user management
  •  Experience in mentoring and leading, guiding and supporting helpdesk teams.
  •  Experience with marketing automation (Marketing Cloud,)
  •  Deep understanding of data, security, and platform support.
  •  Experience with Agile project management framework
  •  Excellent communication and technical leadership skills.
  •  Ability to manage multiple complex requests and priorities in a fast-paced setting

This position is an exempt position. The annualized base pay range for this role is expected to be between $90,000-$115,000 base salary compensation range. Actual base pay may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, experience, subject matter expertise, geographic location where work will be performed, and the applicant’s skill set. The base pay is just one component of the total compensation package. Other rewards may include an annual cash bonus and a comprehensive benefits package, including but not limited to medical, dental, vision, life insurance, and 401(k). Please note that the job title is subject to change based on the selected candidate’s experience and education.
