Senior Manager, Collaboration (Microsoft 365)

Position Summary
The Senior Manager, Collaboration is accountable for the strategic leadership, governance, and operational oversight of the enterprise Microsoft 365 (M365) collaboration ecosystem within a highly regulated financial‑services environment. This role ensures collaboration and productivity services—including Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams Voice, and Microsoft 365 Copilot—are secure, resilient, compliant, and aligned with regulatory, risk, and information‑security requirements, while enabling a modern and effective digital workplace.
As a senior leader within the End User Platform (EUP) organization, this position partners closely with Global Information Security, Enterprise Architecture, Risk, Compliance, and Business IT leaders to deliver scalable, well‑governed collaboration services that support business growth, operational resilience, and responsible AI adoption.
 
This role will be hybrid with 3 days per week onsite in St. Louis, MO
 
Key Responsibilities
  • Define, execute, and govern the enterprise Microsoft 365 strategy, including Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams Voice, and Microsoft 365 Copilot, in alignment with financial‑services security, risk, and compliance standards.
  • Own the end‑to‑end M365 collaboration and productivity service portfolio, ensuring services meet enterprise availability, data protection, regulatory, and audit requirements.
  • Provide technical leadership and governance across:
    • Microsoft Teams (chat, meetings, collaboration, policy enforcement, lifecycle management)
    • Teams Voice / Enterprise Telephony (calling, conferencing, PSTN integration, resiliency, and vendor management)
    • SharePoint Online (information architecture, content governance, records management)
    • OneDrive for Business (secure file sharing, retention, DLP, and user enablement)
    • Microsoft 365 Copilot (enablement strategy, security controls, data readiness, and responsible use)
  • Partner with Global Information Security to ensure Copilot and collaboration services align with data loss prevention, identity and access management, eDiscovery, retention, privacy, and regulatory control frameworks.
  • Establish governance and guardrails for Copilot adoption, including data readiness, access controls, prompt usage standards, and alignment with enterprise AI and risk policies.
  • Lead Managed Service Provider (MSP) strategy and oversight for collaboration, voice, and productivity services, including performance management, risk controls, and continuous improvement.
  • Oversee response to major operational incidents and escalations, ensuring timely resolution, root‑cause analysis, and remediation aligned to operational resilience standards.
  • Partner with Business IT stakeholders (DSTs) to ensure the M365 and Copilot roadmap anticipates business and regulatory needs, while supporting long‑term digital workplace objectives.
  • Ensure disciplined operating model hand‑offs between architecture, engineering, and operational support teams to maintain service reliability and audit readiness.
  • Collaborate with the End User Experience & Operational Excellence Manager to deliver a consistent, measurable user experience, leveraging UXI and adoption metrics (including Copilot value realization).
  • Serve as a senior member of the EUP leadership team, contributing to financial planning, technology road‑mapping, workforce strategy, portfolio prioritization, and risk governance.
 
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline
    (Relevant military experience may be considered in lieu of formal education)
  • 7+ years supporting large‑scale, global Infrastructure & Operations environments, preferably within financial services or similarly regulated industries
  • 5+ years leading enterprise collaboration and productivity platforms, including:
    • Microsoft Teams, SharePoint Online, and OneDrive for Business
    • Teams Voice / enterprise telephony services
    • Secure deployment, lifecycle management, and operational support
  • Experience enabling and governing Microsoft 365 Copilot or AI‑assisted productivity tools within enterprise security, compliance, and risk frameworks
  • 3+ years of people leadership experience, including talent development, performance management, and capacity planning
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship
 
Preferred Qualifications
  • Microsoft 365 / Copilot / Teams certifications
  • Experience supporting responsible AI adoption in regulated environments (financial services, legal, or other compliance‑driven industries)
  • Strong vendor and MSP governance experience, including control oversight and risk mitigation
  • Demonstrated ability to balance user experience, security, compliance, and operational resilience
  • Executive‑level communication skills with experience engaging senior technology, business, risk, and compliance leaders

This position is an exempt position. The annualized base pay range for this role is expected to be between $135,000- $175,000 base salary compensation range.  Actual base pay could vary based on factors including but not limited to experience, subject matter expertise, geographic location where work will be performed, and the applicant's skill set.  The base pay is just one component of the total compensation package for employees.  Other rewards may include an annual cash bonus and a comprehensive benefits package, including but not limited to medical, dental, vision, life and 401(k). Please note that the job title is subject to change based on the selected candidate’s experience and education.
