ASSOCIATE VICE PRESIDENT, CLIENT DEVELOPMENT

Position Summary

The AVP, Client Development is responsible for driving new client acquisition through strategic outreach beyond traditional referral channels. This individual will proactively identify, engage, and convert prospective clients by representing FPW in the marketplace through thought leadership, partnerships, direct prospecting, and other creative lead generation avenues.
Primary Responsibilities
- Identify and cultivate new client opportunities through non-referral channels such as direct outreach, events, strategic partnerships, digital engagement, and networking.
- Build and manage an active pipeline of qualified prospects to meet and exceed individual and firm client growth goals.
- Develop and maintain prospective client relationships through high-touch, white glove service assuring regular contact and demonstrating a deep understanding of their financial goals and needs.
- Own the full sales cycle from initial contact to signed client agreement, partnering with internal teams to ensure a seamless onboarding experience.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, financial planning, and investment strategy teams to ensure sales collateral and proposals are tailored to the prospect’s values and needs and clearly communicate FPW’s unique value proposition.
- Provide feedback and insights to marketing and leadership on market trends, client behaviors, and messaging effectiveness to continuously refine outreach strategy.
- Deliver customized proposals and presentations to prospective clients.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree required.
- 5+ years of experience in financial services or professional services with demonstrated success in business development and client acquisition outside of referral networks.
- Proven ability to independently source, engage, and convert new clients through outbound and relationship-based strategies.
- Strong understanding of investments, financial markets, and wealth management principles.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Salesforce, and prospecting/CRM tools.
- Exceptional communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.

- Self-starter with energy, initiative, and strong follow-through.
- Organized, detail-oriented, and responsive with an ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

The annualized base pay range for this role is expected to be $150,000/year. Actual base pay could vary based on factors including but not limited to experience, subject matter expertise, geographic location where work will be performed, and the applicant's skill set. The base pay is just one component of the total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include an annual cash bonus and a comprehensive benefits package.
