FP&A Analyst

St. Louis, MO

This position will be an integral contributor to the Company’s developing FP&A efforts and data analysis tasks.

 

Responsibilities

  • Assist in buildout of the FP&A function for a rapidly growing and dynamic organization
    • Gain strong working knowledge of business, understanding what factors impact financial performance, how to present/articulate variance, and identify opportunities for reporting improvement
    • Assist in development of FP&A module within ERP
  • Assist in developing and preparing a firmwide financial reporting package each month for use with Senior Leadership and Board of Directors
    • This involves working across departments to collate and clean data to support the production of monthly KPIs for respective business lines
    • Requires ability to work through complex excel analysis to create thoughtful presentation exhibits
  • Work directly with Manager and Functional Leaders to assist in developing new analytical reviews and metrics, both ad-hoc and recurring
    • Examples include Assets Under Management, Net New Assets, New/Lost Client reporting, Divisional level financial reporting, and general KPI development for HR, Operations, Wealth Advisory departments
  • Assistance on budgeting and reforecasting processes
    • Initial budget creation and ongoing monthly analytics to understand fluctuations between current and prior periods and fluctuations between actual and budget/forecast
  • Must be able to adapt to changing requirements, navigate multiple underlying data sources, and build positive and trustful working relationships across functions

 

Skills:

  • Ability to work independently and as a team member; ability to set priorities and respond to changing demands from multiple sources
  • Well-developed organizational, analytical, problem solving and time management skills
  • Proficient with MS Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint, working knowledge of VBA, macros and business intelligence (BI) tools a plus

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant experience
