IT Project Coordinator Intern

Foley Hoag invites students to apply for our Summer 2026 IT Project Management Internship. Throughout the course of the internship, you will work with our IT Project Management team to plan, execute, and deliver technology initiatives that support client service, security, and innovation, and contribute to deliverables that improve user experience and operational resilience. You will develop domain expertise and gain hands-on experience with project methodologies, develop task and process management protocols, communicate with stakeholders and team members at all levels of the firm, and build strategies to address law-firm industry specific technical and business challenges. This is an excellent opportunity for detail-oriented students with strong communication skills to gain experience with meaningful projects under the guidance of committed mentors.  

As an IT Project Coordinator you will assist project managers with planning, executing, and closing projects by handling administrative tasks, tracking progress, coordinating team communication, managing documentation (schedules, reports, meeting notes), and supporting risk management, all while learning project management methodologies to ensure projects stay on track, within scope, and on schedule.   

This internship will take place between June and August of 2026. This is a hybrid schedule position with expected in-office days Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday of each week. 

Eligibility and Process: 

This internship is available to students actively pursuing a full-time bachelor’s degree or a master’s program with a graduation date between December 2026 – August 2027Applications are open now through Monday, February 16th 2026. What you’ll do: 

Scheduling and Coordination 

  • Scheduling meetings with stakeholders and team members 

Documentation 

  • Transcribe and distribute meeting talking points and other follow-up communications 
  • Keep ongoing project documentation, progress reports and other shared documents up to date 

Email Follow-ups and Communications 

  • Provide updates and communication with team members 
  • Follow up on action items 
  • Oversee the distribution of tasks for ongoing projects 
  • Manage the project dashboard 

 

Who you are: 

  • Preferred Major/Minor: Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Management with a minor in a technology related discipline. Minimum 3.0 GPA. 
  • Excellent communication skills 
  • Proven time management and organizational skills 
  • Detailed oriented, critical thinker 
  • Proficient with Microsoft O365 (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) 
  • Familiarity with project management tools is a plus (Examples: Smartsheet, Asana, Monday.com, Microsoft Project) 

Other: 

Compensation is $25.00 per hour worked. Standard business hours are 9:00am – 5:00pm. This is a hybrid schedule position with expected in-office days Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday of each week.
