Western Regional Recruiter - Part Time

Our AmeriCorps members serve alongside educators and school nutrition leaders to provide kids with nourishing meals, food education, and culturally affirming experiences with food that celebrate and nurture the whole child. Building on this direct service, FoodCorps advocates for policy change, grows networks, and develops leaders in service of every kid’s health and wellbeing. Our goal is that by 2030, every child will have access to food education and nourishing food in school!

What We’re Looking For:
FoodCorps is seeking a part time Regional Recruiter to provide critical support to the
recruitment efforts of our AmeriCorps service program. Reporting to Sr. Manager of FoodCorps Member Recruitment, you will support our efforts to recruit hundreds of diverse FoodCorps Members who commit to a year of paid service building nourishing futures for students. Your role will be to execute online recruitment efforts: Building Contact Lists for Outreach, Inputting Contacts into Salesforce, Contacting Potential Candidates, & Identifying Event Opportunities.
Who You Are:
The ideal candidate will be an enthusiastic and positive communicator with a “customer service” orientation; be a creative self-starter with an ability to effectively coordinate and follow through on online projects; be skilled at multitasking, prioritizing, and keeping an eye on the larger goal while juggling multiple responsibilities.
Activities:
- Attending training sessions and check-ins with national recruitment staff
- Utilizing social media to share the position openings
- Identifying potential partnerships and leads within community organizations, coalitions, colleges/universities, and student groups
- Identifying aligned professors for outreach
- Posting the service member position description online, for example on job boards
- Data entry and administrative support, such as developing contact lists for respective site communities and inputting into salesforce
- Tracking all work projects via Asana
Location: Remote In the Western Region
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of local organizations and/or access to personal networks that include potential local applicants
- Experience connecting diverse networks
- Alumni of FoodCorps or any AmeriCorps/public service program
FoodCorps pays salaries that are competitive with nonprofits of our budget size and geographic location. This position is a part-time role with an hourly rate of $20/hr, roughly 6 to 10 hours / week (not to exceed 120 hours) or upon completion of the project, whichever comes first. The position will be active from October 28 to March 28. Please note that the Thriving at FoodCorps section does not apply to this position.
Starting Salary Range
$20 - $20 USD
