Account Supervisor, FoodMinds
FoodMinds is seeking an Account Supervisor (AS) to join our team. As an Account Supervisor, you’ll lead integrated communications initiatives that help shape the conversation around food, nutrition, and health. You will manage high-profile client programs, inspire internal teams, and deliver strategic solutions grounded in science and policy. This position is based in our Chicago, Minneapolis, Washington, DC, or New York City office. This is not a fully remote position.
Key Responsibilities:
Client & Project Leadership
- Drive multiple projects simultaneously with cross-functional teams.
- Lead weekly client meetings, manage daily workflow, and delegate effectively.
- Develop and oversee project timelines, budgets, scopes, and deliverables.
- Serve as a thought partner to clients, building long-term, trusted relationships.
Strategic Communications
- Co-create integrated communications strategies to reach target audiences, including both health professional and consumer audiences
- Provide insights on food, nutrition, and health research, policies, and trends to guide client strategy.
- Collaborate with thought leaders across sectors, including media, health professionals, academia, NGOs, government, and the food industry.
Content & Thought Leadership
- Translate complex scientific and regulatory information into accessible, relevant content.
- Lead development of nutrition-focused materials—webinars, social content, podcasts, and more.
- Contribute to FoodMinds' knowledge-sharing and thought leadership initiatives.
Team Development & Culture
- Manage and mentor junior team members; support performance growth and retention.
- Foster a collaborative, high-performing team culture.
- Lead internal initiatives that contribute to FoodMinds’ culture and mission.
Business Development
- Identify organic growth opportunities and support new business efforts.
- Assist with proposal development, pitching, and onboarding new clients.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- 6–8 years of experience in communications, PR, or agency setting, ideally with a focus on food, health and nutrition.
- Demonstrated success managing complex, multi-channel programs.
- Strong relationships with nutrition experts and organizations.
- Advanced credentials in nutrition, food policy or public health (e.g., RD, MPH, MS) preferred.

US salary range
$80,000 - $92,000 USD
