What you’ll do

In this role, you’ll lead, manage, and develop the teams responsible for Office Management, Mail & Post Room, Records, Switchboard, Customer Service, Reception, and the Client Suite across the firm:

  • Be a part of the Facilities and Business Services team whose objective is to support our people and culture strategies by fostering a consistent, well-managed workplace environment, contributing to employee engagement and retention.
  • Ensure all services are delivered to a consistently high standard in line with firm policies, client expectations, and health and safety requirements (i.e. food safety, event management).
  • Manage and promote health, safety, and security standards within the region, to ensure employees are provided with a safe and secure work environment and client data is always protected.
  • Drive a culture of continuous improvement, proactively identifying opportunities to streamline services, reduce cost, and enhance service delivery.
  • Ensure compliance with data protection, confidentiality, and records management policies.
  • Manage and promote health, safety, and security standards, and work with the wider business to plan and coordinate future refurbishments and staff relocation.
  • Oversee rotas, resource planning, and staff deployment to ensure coverage and operational effectiveness across all areas.
  • Develop/monitor KPIs and SLAs to measure performance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Manage budgets and supplier relationships relevant to business services functions.
  • Support user engagement, training, and adoption of new processes or environments, particularly when layouts, workflows or service points have changed.
  • Act as a critical link between operations, fee-earning practice areas, and support functions, ensuring that services evolve with the changing needs of the firm.

What we’re looking for

We're seeking an experienced and highly organised Business Support/Services Manager to lead and manage the delivery of high-quality operational and client-focused services across multiple support teams.  Someone who thrives in a fast-paced, client-focused environment and brings:

  • Experience managing multiple service streams and diverse operational teams in a professional services, facilities or corporate environment.
  • Sound knowledge of health & safety, GDPR, and operational best practices.
  • Budget management and supplier contract experience (desirable).
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational abilities.
  • Customer-focused with a keen eye for detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • A flexible approach with willingness to travel regularly to all staffed office locations.
  • Confident IT skills.
  • A shared passion for innovation, collaboration, and achieving great things together.
