What you’ll do

This opportunity is ideal for someone with legal secretarial experience who is ready to take ownership of case progression and provide high-quality support in a meaningful and dynamic legal environment.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting the market-leading Charities and Private Wealth Disputes Group as a valued member of the team.
  • Delivering comprehensive legal secretarial support to fee earners in a fast-paced, client-focused setting.
  • Managing travel arrangements and diaries to ensure fee earners are fully prepared for meetings.
  • Handling matter setup while ensuring compliance with internal risk procedures.
  • Drafting, amending, and maintaining precedent letters and house-style documents.
  • Communicating with clients and stakeholders on behalf of fee earners, ensuring clarity and professionalism.
  • Occasionally travelling to the Bristol office (with travel expenses covered).
  • Having the opportunity to progress into a Lead LSA or supervisory role within the group.

What we’re looking for

The ideal candidate will be an experienced Legal Support Assistant who demonstrates a proactive mindset and a passion for delivering exceptional support in a legal or professional services environment.

  • Previous experience as a Legal Support Assistant or Legal Secretary.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Commercial awareness and a professional, business-focused approach.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and legal systems.
  • Interest or experience in Charities, Private Wealth, or Disputes work is advantageous but not essential.
  • A collaborative spirit and enthusiasm for innovation and shared success.
  • Ideally located within commuting distance of Exeter and comfortable with regular office attendance.
