  • Team: Clinical Negligence (Shared Legal Services)
  • Location: Exeter
  • Working Pattern: Full time
  • Why this role matters: This role supports our Clinical Negligence team, onboarding clients and dealing with processing the early stages of a claim. You will be working on complex and sensitive cases that have a profound impact on the lives of our clients. As part of our Shared Legal Services function, you’ll play a key role in ensuring smooth case progression and efficient team operations.

Please note: Regular attendance at our Exeter office is required to support collaboration and client service delivery.

What you’ll do

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with strong administrative experience in a legal or professional services setting. You’ll be a vital part of a team recognised for its expertise and compassion, contributing to meaningful outcomes for vulnerable individuals.

In this role, you’ll:

  • Provide comprehensive administrative support to fee earners and the wider team
  • Have a flexible approach and work well in a team environment.
  • Manage legal files and documentation, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Prepare and format legal documents and correspondence.
  • Respond to client and third-party queries with professionalism and empathy
  • Support new enquiries and contribute to a collaborative team environment.

  • IT skills, including Word, Excel, PDF tools, and case management systems.
  • Highly organised individual who is able to manage deadlines.
  • Excellent communication abilities.
  • High attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
  • A calm, compassionate nature and a genuine desire to support vulnerable clients.
  • Enthusiasm for working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
