Forbes is seeking a Lead, Breaking News FAST Channel. This role will help establish and maintain the day-to-day execution of a live news FAST channel for streaming platforms. The role will require a strong news judgment, fast-paced spirit, and technical know-how. The goal will be for the FAST Lead to run all live channels and events coverage across multiple Forbes digital channels, under the direction of ForbesTV VP and Director. This role is based on-site at our Jersey City Office.

Responsibilities

  • Help build and maintain FAST streams for Forbes YouTube Channels and digital presences
  • Manage live content and coordinate scheduling for programming
  • Manage live streams across Forbes YouTube Channels and digital presences
  • Manage and maintain a library of new and evergreen content

The ideal candidate

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Outstanding news judgement
  • 2-5 years of experience working on FAST channels
  • Experience with Amagi, Planetcast, or similar FAST content management systems
  • Be a team player, creatively minded, willing to share ideas
  • Have strong editorial judgement with a keen understanding of news, politics, business and pop culture
  • Be a strategic thinker who can balance multiple news events at once and understand what to prioritize and how to disseminate a story

The annual base salary range for this role is $85,000 - $95,000

Forbes has estimated the compensation range set forth above in good faith.  The compensation range is what we believe we will offer, and ultimately pay, a successful candidate.  In determining this range, we consider the experience, level of education (if applicable to the role), knowledge, skills, and abilities required to be had by a successful candidate as well as the budget and the company’s pay rates, generally.
