Forbes on Fifth, our premier event space, is looking for a temporary Maintenance Professional to join our team. In this role, you'll support our dedicated maintenance staff in ensuring our event space is always in top condition. This role requires flexibility for occasional overtime, including early morning shifts (starting around 6 AM) to prepare for events, especially during busy periods.

This role is a three-month temporary assignment with the potential to extend. This role will be based onsite at our event space, Forbes on Fifth, in Manhattan 5 days per week.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation of the bar area, including surfaces, floors, and refrigeration.
• Ensuring restrooms are clean, sanitized, and fully stocked with essential supplies.
• Assisting with kitchen cleanup, including appliances, floors, and dishes.
• Performing general upkeep of the entire event space, such as vacuuming carpets, cleaning wood floors, wiping down surfaces, and handling trash removal.
• Managing deliveries and organizing storage areas, including moving furniture and restocking supplies.
• Handling minor repairs and maintenance tasks (i.e., changing light bulbs).

The ideal candidate

• 1-3 years of relevant work experience
• Able to handle a variety of tasks efficiently to support a seamless event experience.
• Reliable and proactive, taking initiative to address needs.
• Possesses clear and positive communication skills, contributing to a supportive team environment.

The hourly rate for this role is $24.00 - $24.00
