Forbes is seeking a detail-oriented and efficient researcher who is skilled in Excel and has experience working with large datasets. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to the launch of Forbes’ first-ever Top Hospitals list and rating system. This new list will join in the portfolio of other esteemed Forbes rankings such as Global 2000 and 30 Under 30. The inaugural Top Hospitals list will serve as a credible resource for consumers and the medical community.

Responsibilities

  • Identify the official, up-to-date hospital names for each hospital in our database (thousands of hospitals)
  • Match the hospital names and IDs to existing profile pages on Forbes.com
  • Ensure each hospital’s information (i.e. address) is correct in the provider data catalogue (PDC). This may involve online research and calls to the hospitals for fact-checking.
  • Identify an appropriate contact person/dept at each Top Hospital, and that dept’s contact information.
  • Assist with the data import of 3,500 to 4,500 hospitals and their corresponding ratings into Excel
  • Assist with each hospital’s profile display / fact-check the data on the profiles
  • Identify Top Hospitals with specific characteristics within our ratings – to help inform the panelists we choose for the Forbes Healthcare Summit 2025.
  • Assist with research and data entry details as needed.

  • Comfortable covering hospitals and healthcare
  • Some experience with health/science reporting or a science/healthcare background is a +
  • Capable of researching scientific studies and aggregating studies into specific categories is a +
  • Some experience with content management systems
  • Interest in healthcare

The hourly rate for this role is $25.00 - $35.00

Forbes has estimated the compensation range set forth above in good faith.  The compensation range is what we believe we will offer, and ultimately pay, a successful candidate.  In determining this range, we consider the experience, level of education (if applicable to the role), knowledge, skills, and abilities required to be had by a successful candidate as well as the budget and the company’s pay rates, generally.
