Licensed Mental Health Therapist (IOP - Hybrid)
Foresight recognizes that there is a great need for access to higher levels of care for mental health treatment. We have recently launched our own Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) and Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) for adults.
We are looking for therapy providers with a passion for working with adults who are in need of more intensive therapy support; a provider who is excited by the opportunity to join and expand our IOP/PHP programs. This individual will provide daily group therapy (process and education), weekly individual therapy/case management, and participate in weekly case consultation meetings with other treatment team members. The provider will be provided with a set IOP/PHP curriculum, that was created to care for the whole person, and not just the symptoms, and receive daily operational support.
What You’ll Do:
- Work within a hybrid model of providing both in-person and virtual IOP services at our Berkeley location
- Complete virtual or in-person initial intake/assessment, treatment plans, and discharge planning
- Facilitate in-person group therapy, including process and education (CBT, DBT), multiple times per week
- Provide weekly virtual or in-person individual therapy/case management to review treatment plans and assess progress
- Provide family and/or collateral therapy sessions in support of client’s treatment, as needed per treatment plan
- Complete accurate documentation on a timely basis to support prior-authorizations for admission and concurrent reviews for client’s care
- Provide crisis management/stabilization, when necessary
- Collaborate with treatment teams (Psychiatrist, Psychiatric NP) and external supports (therapist, case manager, insurance) to provide quality care to clients
- Contribute in weekly multidisciplinary clinical consultation
As a Foresight Therapist, You’ll Enjoy:
- Freedom to use modalities aligned with your strengths and client needs
- Easy documentation through a streamlined EHR
- Professional development, consultation groups, and a dedicated support team for building caseloads, credentialing, and billing
- Free in-house Continuing Education and reimbursement for up to $600/year toward Professional Certification
- Collaboration with an interdisciplinary team, including psychiatrists and mental health nurse practitioners
- Real people support from our live trainings, in-house IT, and operations teams
What We Offer:
- Competitive Compensation Package: This is a full-time role (40 hours/week) with a salary of $80,000-90,000/year
- Comprehensive Benefits for full-time employees: Medical, dental, vision insurance; 4 weeks PTO; paid holidays; 401(k) match, HSA/FSA, company-paid life insurance, and more!
What We’re Looking For:
- Master’s Degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or related field required
- Current licensure by the California Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS) as LMFT, LCSW, or LPCC or by the Board of Psychology as a PhD or PsyD
- Two years post license experience in behavioral health with a focus in IOP and/or PHP programming preferred
- Experience in crisis management/stabilization
- Experience with Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems
- Current BLS certification (or obtained within 30 days of hire).
- Though we do not require our providers to see Medicare patients, you must not have opted out from Medicare
- Have access to reliable and stable internet while working remotely; experience with Google Suite is a plus!
What Sets You Up For Success:
- Strong clinical competency in trauma-informed and evidence-based practices; including initial triage, risk assessment/management, crisis interventions, ICD-10 codes, and treatment planning
- Proficiency with EHR systems and comfort using digital tools (Google Suite, Zoom)
- Excellent communication, active listening, and interpersonal skills to build rapport and collaborate effectively with clients, therapy leaders, billing, and support service
- Reliable time management (including maintaining a consistent schedule), attention to detail, and professional conduct across all responsibilities
- Commitment to accessibility, cultural humility, continuous learning, and Foresight’s client-centered Philosophy of Care
- Adaptability, critical thinking, and a team-oriented mindset within interdisciplinary models
