The Role: 

The Cash Reconciliation and Control Specialist is responsible for facilitating daily banking activity, reconciliation, and all processes associated with IRS tax reporting, including federal and state tax withholding payments, filings, and reconciliation. Forge is looking for an individual with a passion for building and maintaining repeatable processes while being extremely detail-oriented with a strong commitment to quality. The ideal candidate would have a fundamental understanding of retirement plans and tax processing with a strong desire to continue to learn and grow as an expert in this area, while also supporting other cash-management related functions. 

Responsibilities: 

  • Track and facilitate federal and state tax withholding payments per applicable schedule 
  • Complete tax filings timely and accurately based on the state requirements 
  • Research and monitor suitable federal and state tax regulations to maintain compliance 
  • Perform daily tax bank account activities and reconciliation 
  • Support other team members through training and answering questions 
  • Maintain thorough procedural documentation and identify procedural gaps/risks and suggest controls to mitigate losses and error 
  • Provide support for fee payment reconciliation and invoice processing 
  • Processing and reconciliation of publicly traded stocks and mutual fund trades and accurately applying investor dividends   
  • Assist in other functions as assigned 

Qualifications: 

  • Strong attention to detail 
  • Deadline-driven with accurate results 
  • 2+ years of financial services experience 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel 
  • Ability to use critical thinking with proven results 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills 
  • Must be able to sit and/or stand for long periods of time in an office or home office setting while working 

Preferred: 

  • IRA/Retirement Plan knowledge 
  • Tax processing

COLORADO ONLY: This position is up to $24.00/-$26.00HR depending on experience + annual bonus. Benefits include: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Long Term and Short Term Disability and 401(k) Plan. This position is remote in Denver, CO.
