Cloud Engineer

Hybrid/Alpharetta, GA or Dallas, TX - Full-Time

Summary

The core function of the Cloud Engineer is to support NextGen Banking-as-a-Service (BaaS) platform. This role will focus on building, automating, and operating secure, scalable AWS infrastructure, including infrastructure as code, observability platforms, and CI/CD pipelines. The Cloud Engineer will collaborate closely with architecture and data teams to deliver resilient cloud services, data pipelines, and monitoring solutions aligned with long-term platform strategy.

Responsibilities

  • Support NextGen Banking-as-a-Service (BaaS) platform.
  • Experience with building, automating, and operating infrastructure and observability capabilities in AWS to ensure secure, scalable, and reliable banking services.
  • Partner closely with our architecture and data teams to deliver infrastructure components, data pipelines, and observability solutions that align with our long-term platform strategy.

  • Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) Observability Platform Data & Integration Support CI/CD & Automation 

Qualifications

  • 6-8+ yrs of hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Design, provision, and manage AWS infrastructure (VPC, API Gateway, Lambda, RDS, Kinesis, Secrets Manager, EventBridge) using Terraform.
  • Hands-on experience with Observability Platform: Implement and support the observability stack, including OpenTelemetry Collector, Kinesis ingestion, Mimir, and Grafana; build pipelines for ingesting metrics, logs, and traces from various sources.
  • Hands-on experience with Data & Integration Support: Develop data ingestion and transformation workflows to facilitate data integration.
  • Hands-on experience with CI/CD & Automation: Create CI/CD pipelines to automate deployments, testing, and monitoring of cloud services, while implementing configuration management for consistency across environments.
  • Tech Stack: Utilize Python for development, Terraform for IaC, and AWS services (Lambda, API Gateway, Kinesis, RDS, S3, EventBridge, Secrets Manager, IAM, CloudWatch) along with observability tools like OpenTelemetry and Grafana.

Location Requirements

To be considered for this position, candidates must reside in one of the following: Alpharetta, GA or Dallas, TX

This role is Hybrid, and requires being on-site for 1st week and intermittently upon request in the local US office. 

 

We are committed to pay equity and transparency. The compensation range for this position represents our good faith estimate of the range we reasonably expect to pay for this role at the time of posting. The actual compensation offered will be determined based on factors such as the candidate’s experience, skills, education, work location, and internal equity. 

In addition to base pay, employees may be eligible for discretionary bonuses, commissions, or other incentive programs, as well as a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, 401(k), paid time off, etc. 

Estimated Compensation Range:

$43 - $53 USD
