Salesforce OMS Architect

Summary

The Salesforce OMS Architect is responsible for leading the end-to-end implementation, configuration, and optimization of the Salesforce Order Management System to support seamless order capture, fulfillment, returns, and customer service operations. This role collaborates closely with cross-functional stakeholders to design scalable solutions, integrate OMS with enterprise systems, and ensure adherence to Salesforce best practices, security, and compliance standards. The developer also provides technical guidance, custom development expertise, and ongoing support while identifying opportunities to enhance operational efficiency and user experience.

Responsibilities

  • Salesforce OMS Implementation: Development/Architecture in the full-cycle implementation of Salesforce Order Management System (OMS), including requirement gathering, design, configuration, testing, and deployment.
  • Configure and manage the end-to-end order lifecycle, including order capture, order fulfillment, returns, and exchanges.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand and document requirements related to order management, fulfillment, and customer service operations.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to integrate Salesforce OMS with other platforms such as ERP systems, payment gateways, logistics providers, and CRM platforms to ensure seamless data flow and operational efficiency.
  • Provide guidance on leveraging Salesforce-native features and, where necessary, customize using Apex, Visualforce, and Lightning components.
  • Identify and implement opportunities to improve the overall order management process, enhance user experience, and reduce operational bottlenecks.
  • Conduct training for end-users and internal teams on Salesforce OMS functionality. Provide ongoing technical support and troubleshooting.
  • Ensure that solutions are developed in line with Salesforce best practices and adhere to security and compliance standards.
  • Design and develop reports and dashboards to track key order management metrics (e.g., order status, fulfillment rates, customer satisfaction).

Qualifications

  • Experience: 5+ years of experience in Architecting Salesforce, with at least 3 years of hands-on experience in Salesforce Order Management (OMS) implementation.
  • Salesforce Certifications: Salesforce Certified Administrator, Salesforce Certified Platform Developer I and Architect level certs.  Preferred certs: : PDII and Salesforce Order Management Certification (preferred).
  • Proficiency in Salesforce configuration, Apex, Visualforce, and Lightning Web Components. Experience with integration tools like MuleSoft, REST/SOAP APIs, and middleware solutions.
  • Azure data lake for Order Update hands-on experience
  • Integration experience with Netsuite
  • Preferred experience with Retail Execution (Rex) Mobile App
  • Deep understanding of order lifecycle management, fulfillment processes, shipping, inventory management, and payment handling within an enterprise environment.
  • Knowledge of B2B commerce processes, supply chain management, and e-commerce operations.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate business needs into technical solutions.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams, including sales, customer service, IT, and operations, to deliver end-to-end solutions.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Able to clearly articulate technical solutions to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with Agile development practices and tools like Jira, Confluence, or similar.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in industries such as stock replenishment orders, e-commerce, manufacturing, or logistics.
  • Experience with Salesforce Commerce Cloud, B2B Commerce, or other commerce-related platforms.
  • Familiarity with payment processing systems, shipping carriers, and warehouse management systems (WMS).

 

Location Requirements

This role is remote.

We are committed to pay equity and transparency. The compensation range for this position represents our good faith estimate of the range we reasonably expect to pay for this role at the time of posting. The actual compensation offered will be determined based on factors such as the candidate’s experience, skills, education, work location, and internal equity. 

In addition to base pay, employees may be eligible for discretionary bonuses, commissions, or other incentive programs, as well as a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, 401(k), paid time off, etc. 

Estimated Compensation Range:

$81.61 - $99.09 USD
