Guidewire BillingCenter Configuration Lead - Onsite - Pan-India

Summary

FormativGroup is seeking a Senior Guidewire BillingCenter Configuration Lead to lead and deliver global Guidewire implementation projects, providing technical guidance and mentoring to project teams. This role combines deep BillingCenter expertise, hands-on technical skills, and leadership experience to ensure high-quality project execution and strong client collaboration within the Property & Casualty insurance domain.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Technical Lead in the Technology Consulting team, contributing to multiple Guidewire implementation projects for clients across the globe.
• Act as a team leader (technical leader), guiding various technical streams of Guidewire implementation projects.
• Interface and communicate effectively with onsite coordinators and customer representatives as needed.
• Plan, monitor, and track project deliverables to ensure timely, high-quality outcomes.
• Mentor and coach the project team in executing assigned projects.
• Provide regular status updates to managers and onsite coordinators.
• Travel to customer locations as required.

• Manage performance for direct reports in line with organizational policies.
• Foster teamwork and lead by example.
• Provide training, coaching, and mentoring to project resources.
• Participate in organization-wide people initiatives.

Requirements

• Experience in Guidewire BillingCenter Configuration with thorough knowledge and hands-on experience in concepts such as Delinquency, Disbursements, Collections, Write-off, Transfer Policy, New Payment Batch, and related workflows.
• Experience with Guidewire implementations and upgrades within the insurance sector.
• Strong background in Property & Casualty Insurance.
• Proficient in Java 5+, JEE, XML, Web Services (Axis 2), SQL, and ANT.
• Strong skills in PL/SQL, Spring, Hibernate, Castor, and any enterprise messaging system.
• Solid knowledge and hands-on experience with Tomcat and/or WebSphere/WebLogic.
• Real-time knowledge and experience in enterprise system integration, preferably within the insurance domain.
• Understanding and practical experience of software development best practices.
• Excellent business communication skills.
• Demonstrated leadership skills.
• Prior client-facing experience.
• BE/BTech/MCA with 3 to 7 years of relevant industry experience.
