Collibra Data Governance Specialist

Remote/United States - Full-Time

The Collibra Data Governance Specialist will implement, administer, and enhance enterprise data governance capabilities using Collibra Data Intelligence Cloud. You will partner with business, data, analytics, and IT teams to strengthen data governance practices, improve data transparency, and enable trusted, compliant data across the organization.

This role combines hands-on Collibra expertise with data governance, metadata management, and stakeholder engagement. We are anticipating future openings and are connecting now with great talent who would like to be considered when the time comes.

 

What You'll Work On

In this role, you will:

  • Configure and administer Collibra Data Governance and Data Catalog.
  • Customize Collibra operating models, domains, communities, assets, and workflows.
  • Implement business glossaries, data dictionaries, and ownership models.
  • Manage Collibra integrations with data platforms, BI tools, and metadata sources.
  • Define and operationalize data governance policies, standards, and processes.
  • Support data stewardship and ownership across business domains.
  • Enable data lineage, impact analysis, and data certification.
  • Ensure governance practices support regulatory and compliance requirements.
  • Ingest and manage technical and business metadata.
  • Support automated and manual lineage across systems.
  • Collaborate with data quality teams to surface data quality rules and metrics in Collibra.
  • Work with business and technical stakeholders to onboard data assets into Collibra.
  • Conduct training sessions for data owners, stewards, and users.
  • Promote adoption of Collibra as the system of record for governed data.

 

What You'll Bring

You will likely be successful in this role if you have:

  • 5+ years of experience in data governance, data management, or related roles.
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience with Collibra Data Intelligence Cloud.
  • Strong understanding of data governance frameworks and operating models.
  • Experience working with metadata, lineage, and data cataloging concepts.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Technical experience with Collibra Data Governance and Data Catalog.
  • Experience with metadata management and data lineage.
  • Experience with data governance operating models and stewardship.
  • Experience integrating with cloud data platforms and BI tools.

  • Experience integrating Collibra with cloud data platforms such as Snowflake, Azure, or AWS.
  • Familiarity with BI and analytics tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Looker.
  • Experience with data quality tools and processes.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements such as GDPR, CCPA, or SOX.
  • Collibra certification, including Ranger, Governance, or equivalent.

 

What Success Looks Like

  • Collibra Data Governance and Data Catalog are configured and administered to support enterprise governance needs.
  • Business glossaries, data dictionaries, ownership models, metadata, and lineage are established and maintained to improve data transparency.
  • Data owners, stewards, and users are enabled through onboarding and training, supporting adoption of Collibra as the system of record for governed data.
  • Governance policies, standards, processes, and data quality information support trusted, compliant data across the organization.

Location Requirements

This role is a remote role.

Candidates residing outside these states are not currently eligible for consideration.

We are committed to pay equity and transparency. The compensation range for this position represents our good faith estimate of the range we reasonably expect to pay for this role at the time of posting. The actual compensation offered will be determined based on factors such as the candidate’s experience, skills, education, work location, and internal equity. 

In addition to base pay, employees may be eligible for discretionary bonuses, commissions, or other incentive programs, as well as a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, 401(k), paid time off, etc. 

Estimated Compensation Range:

$120,000 - $150,000 USD
