Technical Consultant, Aladdin Front Office

Summary

The role of the Technical Consultant, Aladdin Front Office is to manage end-to-end trade workflows within BlackRock Aladdin, ensuring accurate execution, proactive issue resolution, and reduced operational risk across the trade lifecycle. This individual leverages Aladdin Front Office tools, including OMS, pre-trade compliance, live blotters, exposure dashboards, and post-trade views, to monitor real-time positions, validate cash and allocations, and anticipate downstream impacts. The ideal candidate combines strong trade lifecycle expertise with hands-on Aladdin functionality and advanced Excel/SQL skills to support data validation, operational controls, and seamless collaboration across Trading and Operations.

 

Responsibilities

  • Manage end‑to‑end trade workflows in Aladdin, proactively resolving issues, validating cash and positions, and reducing operational risk through targeted Excel/SQL checks.
  • Apply strong understanding of the full trade lifecycle and downstream dependencies to ensure accurate execution and minimize exceptions.
  • Utilize Aladdin Front Office tools—including OMS, pre‑trade compliance checks, live blotters, exposure dashboards, and analytics—to manage orders and monitor real‑time positions.
  • Leverage Aladdin post‑trade views such as allocation status, confirmation/matching queues, and settlement ladders to anticipate operational issues.
  • Identify and escalate operational risks early, communicating effectively with Trading, Post‑Trade Operations, and external counterparties.

 

Qualifications

  • 5+ years hands‑on experience with BlackRock Aladdin Front Office functionality, including trade blotters, matching tools, IBOR dashboards, and cash ladders.
  • Strong knowledge of the trade lifecycle, operational controls, and investment operations processes.
  • Proficiency in Excel and SQL for intraday data validation, reconciliations, and portfolio/client reporting support.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues quickly in a fast‑paced trading environment.
  • Excellent communication skills with experience collaborating across Trading, Operations, and external partners.

 

Location
This role is a US - remote, consultant will be required to go onsite for orientation.

We are committed to pay equity and transparency. The compensation range for this position represents our good faith estimate of the range we reasonably expect to pay for this role at the time of posting. The actual compensation offered will be determined based on factors such as the candidate’s experience, skills, education, work location, and internal equity. 

In addition to base pay, employees may be eligible for discretionary bonuses, commissions, or other incentive programs, as well as a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, 401(k), paid time off, etc. 

Estimated Compensation Range:

$137,318 - $166,743 USD
