POSITION OVERVIEW:

We are seeking a highly skilled Statistical Scientist to join our team in San Jose. In this role, you will focus on the application of statistical methods to scientific experiments and research. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design experiments, analyze data, and draw actionable conclusions that contribute to product development and optimization.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Design and analyze experiments using advanced statistical techniques (e.g., ANOVA, regression, hypothesis testing).
  • Conduct statistical modeling and data analysis using software such as R, SAS, Tableau, or JMP.
  • Interpret complex data and communicate findings through reports and visualizations.
  • Work with research and development teams to refine experimental processes and design statistically sound studies.
  • Provide guidance on statistical methodologies and best practices to ensure high-quality experimental design and analysis.
  • Present statistical results to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelors degree or higher in Statistics, Mathematics, Chemistry, or a related scientific field.
  • 5+ years of experience in scientific research environment.
  • Strong experience in statistical experimental design (e.g., Design of Experiments, regression analysis, ANOVA).
  • Proficiency with statistical software such as R, SAS, or other similar tools.
  • Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
  • Strong communication skills to present complex statistical findings to diverse teams.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience in a scientific research environment.
  • Familiarity with database management tools and SQL.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Knowledge of machine learning techniques and proven success with model deployment.
  • Quick learner with a desire to gain new skills where gaps are identified.

COMPENSATION:

The compensation package for this role includes a competitive base salary commensurate with experience with a range of $115,000 - $130,000 as well as an annual bonus and pre-IPO incentive stock options.
