Job Summary:
Diversified Systems, Inc. is currently seeking a skilled Fire Alarm Service Technician to join our team in Knightdale, NC. This role is ideal for candidates with hands-on experience in fire alarm systems who are looking to grow their career in a dynamic and safety-focused environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot, repair, and inspect fire alarm systems.
- Completion of all necessary paperwork associated with service and inspections
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment, including the company vehicle, and follow all company safety policies and procedures.
- Work independently while maintaining a high standard of workmanship.
- Communicate professionally with customers and deliver excellent customer service.
- Follow verbal and written instructions accurately and provide clear documentation of work performed.
- Possess and maintain basic hand tools and demonstrate familiarity with tools commonly used in the trade.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in installation, service, testing, and/or troubleshooting of fire alarm systems.
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to meet company driving eligibility requirements, including holding a valid driver’s license and maintaining an acceptable motor vehicle record.
- Ability to read blueprints
- Proficient in the use of computers and smart phones, specifically Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office, Apple iOS, and Google Android
- Working knowledge of NFPA 72, NFPA 70, and current industry standards.
- Ability to adjust work hours or shifts as needed for operational demands.
This pay range reflects the compensation rate Fortis Fire & Safety reasonably expects to pay for this position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors such as experience and skillset. This role is also eligible for benefits including medical, dental, vision, 401k match, pet insurance, short term/long term disability, etc...
Compensation Rate
$28 - $32 USD
This role may require extended periods of sitting or standing, movement around the office or job site, and operation of standard equipment. Physical activities can include reaching, bending, kneeling, climbing, and lifting up to 75 lbs. Field positions may involve heavy lifting, working in varying climates (including outdoor conditions), construction or low-voltage environments, and exposure to dust, noise, or confined spaces. Personal protective equipment (PPE) may be required. Some roles may require travel.
