Job Summary:
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Head of Power & Infrastructure Development to lead and oversee the identification, evaluation, and acquisition of existing crypto mining facilities as well as potential greenfield sites. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in U.S. power markets, M&A, energy procurement and site selection.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead all crypto mining facility M&A, evaluating potential acquisitions based on current and expected long-term energy costs, infrastructure, and regulatory factors.
  • Conduct due diligence, including site visits, feasibility studies, and risk assessments.
  • Analyze markets to optimize our long-term energy strategy.
  • Negotiate lease agreements, purchase contracts, and power agreements with property owners, utilities, and government agencies.
  • Manage relationships with engineers, legal teams, and energy consultants to ensure site suitability and compliance.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with energy providers, landowners, and regulatory bodies to secure advantageous deals.
  • Monitor regulatory changes and zoning laws that could impact site acquisitions.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience working within the U.S. power markets, with prior M&A or power sourcing strongly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of energy procurement and grid infrastructure.
  • Proven leadership and negotiation skills with experience in contract management and lease agreements.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and lead a team effectively.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Willingness to travel as required for site evaluations and negotiations.
  • Knowledge of crypto mining operations and data center site selection is a plus.
