DESCRIPTION:

The Crypto Fleet Asset Specialist role is an exciting opportunity for an experienced, motivated, and passionate individual to join the team at Fortitude Mining, a subsidiary of the blockchain industry’s most prolific and active investor, Digital Currency Group. This role is critical in a rapidly growing, energetic, brilliant, cohesive team of people, who love what they do and are excited about what they are building together. The ideal candidate is someone who loves finding proactive solutions to maximize fleet uptime and manage thousands of assets across sites. Reporting to the Director of Operations, the Crypto Fleet Asset Specialist will play a key role in driving overall company growth by maintaining mining fleet health and production.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Take ownership of the fleet performance at assigned mining locations, acting as the primary point of contact with hosting &/or self-owned mining sites.
• Document and review fleet performance for upwards reporting.
• Perform on-site visits as necessary to assigned mining locations to review uptime, vet technician processes, audit inventory, and assist with larger deployments of equipment. Expect monthly trips, up to 50% domestic travel.  Destinations are primarily central US.
• Owns asset tracking for assigned sites and particular sets of mining equipment.
• Owns daily reporting of assets to the accounting & operations team(s).
• Use independent judgment to recommend a course of action to address sub optimal machine performance. This could include hashboard repair, part replacement, infrastructure improvements, and/or machine replacement.
• Create and triage service tickets, prioritize and categorize tickets based on urgency, impact and predefined criteria.
• Coordinate communications and drive tickets to completion, ensuring effective resolution and optimal fleet performance.
• Facilitate inbound/outbound units, coordinating with Logistics for machine replacements, removals, repairs, and spare part replacements.
• Monitor real-time dashboards to detect equipment anomalies, errors or performance issues.
• Identify potential interruption to machine uptime, performance issues, service disruptions or deviations from established thresholds.
• Additional duties as assigned.

ABOUT YOU

Minimum Qualifications; Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Bachelor’s degree in information technology or a related field (or 2 years equivalent work experience)
• Exposure to the crypto mining space, ideally 1-2 years working in a hands-on industry role.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to quickly identify and resolve issues
• Passion for project management and desire to push and lead high-priority company initiatives
• Proactive self-starter with a solutions-focused, positive attitude
• Experience working with ticketing systems and knowledge of ticketing workflows
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to multi-task and prioritize work in a dynamic environment
• Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining accurate and thorough documentation
• Team player, willing to pitch in wherever needed
• Very comfortable with the range of office software suites: MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook 

Environment:
HQ is a general office environment with perks (fully stocked kitchen, flexible workspace, focus on employee engagement, teamwork, and collaboration).  On site environments are production facilities with above-ambient temperatures, high-voltage electrical infrastructure, and exposure to the elements.
