Web Manager

Santa Clara, CA

Forward was founded in 2013 by four Stanford Ph.D.s, building the industry's first network digital twin: a mathematically accurate model of the production network. It's the foundation for autonomous networking, giving engineers and AI agents the ability to know the impact of every change before it touches production. That founding instinct still defines how we work. We're accurate and evidence-driven, relentless about clarity, and we'd rather be certain than comfortable, building a groundbreaking platform that transforms how teams run and secure networks across every major cloud and vendor environment.

Global leaders like Goldman Sachs, PayPal, S&P Global, IBM, and Dell trust Forward, alongside fast-growing enterprises and government agencies, realizing an average of $14.2 million in annual benefits, according to IDC. Backed by top-tier investors, including A. Capital, Andreessen Horowitz, Goldman Sachs, MSD Partners, Omega Venture Partners, Section 32, and Threshold Ventures, and headquartered in Santa Clara, we're most proud of our team: curious people who'd rather build what doesn't exist than accept how things have always been done.

We are looking for a Website Manager to lead the strategy and execution for forwardnetworks.com. Reporting to the Director of Content and Digital Marketing, you'll bring a product manager's mindset to our primary web property, driving its long-term strategy, daily performance, and continuous evolution.

Your goal is to bridge the gap between web strategy, design, technical execution, and user experience. As we enter our next stage of growth, you'll balance rigorous daily operations with high-impact initiatives to ensure our digital presence scales securely and efficiently alongside our business.

Key responsibilities

  • Web Strategy & Operations: Treat the website as an evolving product—own the strategic roadmap and the daily intake, prioritization, and execution of all web updates. Use Jira to triage engineering requests and bug fixes, and Asana to project-manage larger cross-functional campaigns.
  • Always-On Performance, Metrics, and Attribution: Own core technical and engagement metrics, site availability, Core Web Vitals, traffic, and usability across desktop and mobile. Connect site behavior to pipeline through CRM/marketing-automation integration.
  • Platform Architecture, Evolution, and Accessibility: Own the technical health and modernization of our web platforms, including WCAG/Section 508 conformance, evaluating and implementing enterprise-grade CMS, and infrastructure that scales securely.
  • SEO & Organic Growth: Own technical SEO, site architecture, and organic search performance as a primary driver of pipeline; monitor emerging AI-search/answer-engine visibility as a channel.
  • Iterative CRO & Personalization: Run a continuous testing program — audits, A/B tests, and landing-page refinement — including personalized experiences for distinct buyer segments (e.g., federal, enterprise, mid-market) via our ABM/personalization stack.
  • Global Site Architecture: Build and maintain a scalable, localizable site structure — translation workflow, regional compliance (e.g., GDPR), and CMS framework — to support our enterprise segment's international footprint.

Qualifications

  • 5–10 years managing B2B tech or SaaS websites with a product management mindset.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • Hands-on experience leading a major enterprise web platform upgrade or migration, start to finish.
  • Daily-operations proficiency in Jira and/or Asana.
  • Technical foundation with a genuinely enterprise-grade CMS (e.g., Contentful, Sitecore, Adobe Experience Manager, or a comparable headless/composable platform), HTML/CSS/JS, and scalable architecture.
  • Expertise in GA4, Google Tag Manager, Core Web Vitals, and SEO tooling (e.g., Search Console, Screaming Frog) to measure and improve traffic, availability, and usability.
  • Data-driven, detail-oriented approach to problem-solving.

Base Salary Range: $140,000 – $170,000 per year
This range represents the low and high end of the salary for this position. Actual compensation will vary based on factors including location, candidate experience, skills, and level. In addition to base salary, this role will be eligible for equity and benefits.
