What will you be doing?
- Design, manage, and maintain master schedules and individual scholar schedules aligned to graduation requirements and academic needs.
- Develop and monitor clear academic course pathways, including core courses, interventions, electives, AP, dual enrollment, and credit recovery.
- Track and analyze scholar progress toward credits, promotion, graduation, and postsecondary readiness, identifying off-track scholars early.
- Conduct academic advising sessions with scholars and families to support informed course selection and long-term planning.
- Deliver small-group or classroom lessons related to academic planning, graduation requirements, and postsecondary readiness.
- Use ALMA and other data systems to collect, analyze, and report academic data to inform decision-making and continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with school leadership, instructional teams, special services, and behavioral health partners to coordinate scholar supports.
- Ensure compliance with NJDOE and Foundation Academy graduation requirements, transcript accuracy, and reporting deadlines.
- Contribute to a safe, structured, and data-informed school environment aligned with professional and ethical counseling standards.
What do we require from you?
- Master’s degree in School Counseling or a related field.
- Valid New Jersey School Counselor Certificate.
- Strong organizational, scheduling, and systems-thinking skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and strong attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced school environment.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with scholars, families, and diverse stakeholders.
- Experience with secondary scheduling, credit tracking, and graduation planning preferred.
- Familiarity with New Jersey graduation requirements and postsecondary pathways preferred.
