Workers Compensation Claims Analyst
Foundation Risk Partners, one of the fastest growing insurance brokerage and consulting firms in the US, is adding a Workers Compensation Claims Analyst to their Millennium team in Orange, California.
Job Summary:
The Workers Compensation Claims Analyst is an integral position within the Cost Containment Unit that assists in providing claims advocacy and analysis services in an effort to control costs of risk for Millennium’s clientele and account teams.
Essential Functions:
- Maintain internal claims inventory with diary system of claim status updates.
- Maintain Monthly Loss Run Report and Reserve Tracking Database. Position is responsible for updating spreadsheets, IMS claims database, and other reporting tools for summarizing monthly activities of Worker’s Compensation losses. Tracking reports will be utilized to provide daily, weekly, and monthly activities.
- Utilize Insurance Carriers and TPA’s on-line claims systems to retrieve and maintain claims database.
- Communicate professionally with internal and external clients.
- Maintain a professional relationship with adjusters, defense attorneys, risk management professionals and other claims stakeholders to encourage specific claims handling outcomes and provide advocacy for clientele.
- Demonstrated understanding of when to involve CCU Manager.
- Other duties as assigned.
Competencies & Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of Workers Compensation Claims adjusting experience in a retail insurance environment.
- Ability to organize and summarize claims and loss data.
- Working knowledge of claims and legal terminology.
- Ability to read and interpret loss runs.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills to prioritize workload and meet given time-sensitive deadlines.
- Strong analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills; detail oriented.
- Outstanding initiative
- Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Must be effective in oral and written communication while interacting with other insurance and legal professionals. Demonstrated interpersonal communication skills and ability to interact with Associates at all levels of responsibility.
- Strong team player with the ability to work independently.
- Strong customer service skills.
This range represents the estimated low and high end of the salary range for this position. Actual salaries will vary and may be above or below the range based on factors including but not limited to performance, location, and experience. The range listed is just one component of FRP's total compensation package for employees.
Pay Transparency Range
$60,000 - $80,000 USD
