Benefits Integration Specialist
Foundation Risk Partners, one of the fastest growing insurance brokerage and consulting firms in the US, is adding a Benefits Integration Specialist to their Acentria team. Candidates located in EST or CST time zones are preferred to ensure alignment with team and collaboration hours.
Job Summary:
We are seeking a Benefits Build Specialist with proven experience in Employee Navigator to support the configuration, implementation, and ongoing maintenance of employee benefits enrollment systems. This role requires a detail-oriented individual who understands benefit plan structures, eligibility rules, and who can work cross-functionally with internal teams and carriers to ensure accurate setup and smooth operation.
Essential Functions:
- Build and maintain group benefit plans in Employee Navigator.
- Configure eligibility rules, plan structures, and payroll deductions based on client requirements.
- Accurately set up plan rates, benefit volumes, and age-banded structures for all coverage lines.
- Review carrier proposals and benefit summaries to ensure builds match sold plan designs.
- Conduct internal calls to review build progress, resolve discrepancies, and confirm accuracy before launch.
- Troubleshoot plan configuration mismatches and data integrity issues.
- Document build procedures and maintain client-specific setup records for future reference.
Competencies & Qualifications:
- Strong Excel skills, including:
- Writing and troubleshooting formulas (e.g., IF, nested IFs, CONCAT, TEXT, ROUND, LEN).
- Using lookup and reference functions (VLOOKUP, XLOOKUP, HLOOKUP, INDEX/MATCH).
- Cleaning and transforming data using tools like Text-to-Columns, Flash Fill, and Find/Replace.
- Understanding named ranges, absolute/relative references, and worksheet protection.
- Experience with additional systems like Ease, bswift, or PlanSource is a plus.
- Experience working in an agency, TPA, or insurance carrier environment.
Education & Experience:
- Experience working in Employee Navigator preferred (2+ years).
- Solid understanding of benefits administration processes and terminology.
- Strong attention to detail and data accuracy.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
