Senior Commercial Lines Account Manager
Foundation Risk Partners, one of the fastest growing insurance brokerage and consulting firms in the US, is seeking an experienced Commercial Lines Account Manager specializing in Residential Habitational Risks, including Homeowners Associations (HOAs), Condominium Associations, apartment schedules, townhome communities, and other residential real estate exposures.
Job Summary:
This position is responsible for managing a book of business, providing exceptional client service, supporting producers throughout the renewal and marketing process, and developing insurance solutions that meet client coverage and risk management needs. The Account Manager serves as a primary point of contact for clients, carriers, and internal stakeholders while maintaining strong relationships and delivering timely, accurate service.
The successful candidate will possess strong technical knowledge of commercial property and casualty coverages applicable to residential habitational accounts and will demonstrate the ability to manage complex renewals, marketing strategies, certificates, policy reviews, and carrier negotiations.
Essential Functions:
- Manage a dedicated portfolio of Residential Habitational clients, including HOA, Condominium Association, apartment, and townhome community risks.
- Serve as primary service contact for assigned clients and maintain strong professional relationships.
- Coordinate all aspects of the renewal process, including gathering underwriting information, applications, valuation data, loss runs, and other required documentation.
- Develop marketing strategies and work directly with carriers to obtain competitive coverage terms and pricing.
- Analyze coverage proposals and provide recommendations to clients and producers.
- Review policies, endorsements, audits, and carrier correspondence for accuracy and completeness.
- Prepare and process endorsements, cancellations, policy changes, certificates of insurance, and evidence of property coverage.
- Review contracts and insurance requirements to identify potential coverage gaps and recommend appropriate risk transfer solutions.
- Assist clients with coverage questions, claims-related inquiries, and policy interpretation.
- Maintain open items, timelines, and renewal activity management to ensure deadlines are met.
- Identify cross-sell and upsell opportunities and collaborate with producers to support business development efforts.
- Participate in client meetings, presentations, and carrier discussions as needed.
- Maintain accurate and complete client records within agency management systems.
- Support operational workflows, documentation standards, and agency best practices.
- Stay current on industry trends, carrier appetites, market conditions, and regulatory developments impacting residential habitational risks.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Competencies and Qualifications
- Strong understanding of commercial insurance coverages, including Property, General Liability, Umbrella, Workers Compensation, Crime, Equipment Breakdown, Cyber, and Directors & Officers Liability.
- Working knowledge of HOA and Condominium Association governing documents and insurance requirements.
- Exceptional customer service and relationship management skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Ability to review and interpret insurance contracts, endorsements, and coverage forms.
- High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with producers, clients, carriers, and internal teams.
- Proven ability to manage confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams, and PowerPoint.
- Experience with Applied EPIC agency management system preferred.
Education and Experience:
- Minimum 3 years of Commercial Lines Account Management experience required.
- Demonstrated experience servicing Residential Habitational accounts, including HOA and Condominium Associations, required.
- Experience managing complex commercial property schedules and placement strategies preferred.Insurance designations such as CIC, CISR, CPCU, ARM, or CRM are a plus.
- Active Property & Casualty insurance license required.
- Must maintain all licenses and continuing education requirements necessary to perform the duties of the position.
This range represents the estimated low and high end of the salary range for this position. Actual salaries will vary and may be above or below the range based on factors including but not limited to performance, location, and experience. The range listed is just one component of FRP's total compensation package for employees.
Pay Transparency Range
$80,000 - $100,000 USD
