Role 

As our business grows, we are hiring experienced healthcare management consultants in California to work with health plans, health systems, public sector entities, and integrated delivery systems. We need versatile candidates with at least 8 years of consulting experience and 6 or more years of experience working in multiple areas of healthcare management such as care delivery, health plan operations, regulatory compliance (e.g., interoperability and CalAIM), quality management, finance/administration, facilities planning, technology and analytics, as well as expertise in process improvement and program and project management.  

Here’s a sample of the kind of work you might do for our clients:  

  • Conduct operational assessments in a wide range of areas such as health plan administration, ambulatory and acute care, revenue cycle, project management offices and information technology, and deliver findings and recommendations to client leadership 
  • Drive discovery and planning phases related to facilities projects including working with key stakeholders to conduct market analysis, develop business cases and plans for hospital campuses, manage moves, and develop demand and capacity models to support enterprise facilities strategy and execution efforts
  • Develop a program management function for planning and execution of activities to help a large integrated managed care system achieve compliance with changes from CMS and the ONC rules related to Interoperability and Patient Access 
  • Assist a health plan in reimagining its pharmacy operating model for specialty drugs to personalize member experience while reducing drug costs, transform end-to-end prescription drug ecosystem, redefine the supply chain, and streamline care delivery 
  • Drive a public sector client’s initiative to improve patient access to health services by facilitating development of a strategy and roadmap to increase the CNA and home and community-based services workforce serving medically underserved and Medi-Cal populations, with a focus on cultural and language diversity 
  • Lead process improvement initiatives in Perioperative Services to support an academic medical center’s surgical capacity and growth goals 
  • Support a national health plan in efforts to improve satisfaction of two strategic hospital partners by working with all parties to objectively assess Accounts Receivable issues, identify root causes, and provide recommendations for improvement

Qualifications 

  • 8+ years' management consulting experience 
  • 8+ years' healthcare management experience 
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with strategic focus 
  • Ability to deliver projects on time, on budget and with the highest quality  
  • Ability to flex and work with a team or individually to provide highly specialized and/or technical expertise 
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, consensus-building, storytelling/ presentation, and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal 
  • Experience and comfortable working at all levels of an organization 
  • A high degree of self-motivation, integrity, and versatility  
  • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree, PMP, Scaled Agile or Lean Six Sigma Certifications are highly desirable 

Compensation range: $158K - $235K + a meaningful, well-rounded benefits package
