COTS Integration Engineer
Freedom Technology Solutions Group is seeking a COTS Integration Engineer for one of our PRIME CONTRACTS that offers exciting opportunities to support essential services and mission critical activities across the enterprise. - Join a team developing and configuring a COTS product – Clarity PPM – to provide modern program and portfolio management capabilities to the end users supporting mission critical functions.
- This position is part of a contractor-led team working collaboratively to configure a commercial product to meet specific functional requirements, engage with end users and deploy the new solution to the enterprise.
- Primary responsibilities will be digging in to understand and configure the tool, SQL development, testing, troubleshooting, and developing feature enhancements for the product.
- The position does not require existing experience with the specific COTS technology; however, the role requires quickly learning the commercial tool and being able to troubleshoot and analyze the database.
Required Qualifications:
- TS/SCI with Polygraph
- A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field and have at least six (6) years of demonstratable experience with integrating, installing, configuring, upgrading, compiling, and supporting COTS/GOTS software in heterogenous operating system environment. Four (4) years of additional SWE experience on projects with similar software processes may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree. An industry recognized professional certification, as defined in the TTO’s may substitute for two (2) years’ experience.
- An industry recognized professional certification, as defined in the TTOs, may substitute as one (1) year experience. A Master's Degree in Computer Science, System Engineering or related field may substitute for two (2) years' experience.
- Working knowledge of JavaScript as well as HTML/CSS
- Experience working with web services and service oriented architecture
- Experience working with SQL
- Experience configuring a COTS product to meet specific functional requirements
- Willingness to learn new technologies
- Experience with scripting of any type
- Working knowledge of computer programming in any language

- Experience working with RESTful services and APIs in general
- Experience with COTS products, or willingness to learn a COTS product
The estimated salary range for this position is between $150,000 - 205,000 (annualized USD). This range reflects the typical pay for the role and is one part of the company's comprehensive compensation package. Actual salaries are influenced by several factors, such as location, the individual’s education, skills, experience, and competencies, as well as contract affordability and organizational needs.
