Senior NiFi Administrator
We are seeking a Senior NiFi Administrator for one of our PRIME CONTRACTS that extends through 2026 and offers exciting opportunities to support essential services and mission critical activities across the enterprise. - Manage and administer Apache NiFi clusters, including deploying, configuring, and optimizing NiFi instances to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
- Develop, customize, and maintain data flow processes within NiFi to meet specific business requirements, including creating custom processors, controllers, and extensions as needed.
- Write code, develop features, and maintain the application.
- Address user issues, fix bugs, and improve system performance.
- Develop and implement monitoring tools and systems that detect potential issues in the system before they lead to outages, ensuring system stability.
- Adapt to a fast-paced, agile work environment.
- Utilize a tech stack that includes NiFi, Python, Docker, Django, AWS, Java, JavaScript, and ReactJS.
- Manage and update Docker containers to ensure efficient application deployment and scaling, as well as streamline the development process.
- Quickly diagnose and resolve technical issues, whether they are related to code, infrastructure, or data, to maintain system functionality.
- Implement best practices for data security and integrity to protect sensitive data and ensure compliance.
- Engage in Agile methodologies, participate in sprint planning, stand-up meetings, and adapt to changing requirements and priorities in a collaborative and iterative development process.
Required:
- TS/SCI with Polygraph
- A bachelor's degree in a technical discipline and twelve (12) years of experience in software development/engineering. Sixteen (16) years of experience in software development/engineering may be substituted in lieu of a degree
- Experience working with front-end technologies including JavaScript
- Willingness to learn new technologies
- Experience developing and updating technical documentation
Desired:
- Proficiency in Apache NiFi administration, including installation, configuration, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
- Experience in developing custom processors, controllers, and extensions within Apache NiFi to enhance data flow management capabilities.
- Experience working in an Agile Development environment
- Experience managing the full software development lifecycle (SDLC) to include requirements definition, design, development, test, deployment, and sustainment
- Experience with any of the following technologies Java, Django, ReactJS
- Experience managing systems in a virtual hosting environment including AWS
- Experience with PostgreSQL
- Experience working with Docker for containerization
- Familiarity with the CI/CD

The estimated salary range for this position is between $200,000-$265,00(annualized USD). This range reflects the typical pay for the role and is one part of the company's comprehensive compensation package. Actual salaries are influenced by several factors, such as location, the individual’s education, skills, experience, and competencies, as well as contract affordability and organizational needs.
