COTS Integration Engineer
We are seeking a COTS Integration Engineer for one of our PRIME CONTRACTS that extends through 2026 and offers exciting opportunities to support essential services and mission critical activities across the enterprise. Our mission supports the Government Corporate Management Services (CMS) by providing full life cycle support services through the sustainment, modernization, and transformation of the enterprise corporate applications. These applications are used across the government enterprise and are critical to the daily functions of thousands of users across acquisition, business, finance, HR, training, recruitment, program management, security, logistics and more. Join a team providing Life Cycle Sustainment (LCS) and modernization activities for an enterprise document capture and management solution supporting mission-critical enterprise functions. The application provides the ability to capture document images and metadata for record keeping purposes.
The role will involve a blend of system administrator and system engineering tasks. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is eager to develop their career in system engineering, system administration or development.
Collaborate with vendor support in creating solutions for customers and providing version upgrades with software to include innovating and improving customer functions through existing software.
Collaborate with the customers to complete their functions more efficiently and keep the system performing optimally.
Participate in testing and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities.
Collaborate closely with a mix of users, developers and system engineers.
Engage with Government leadership to gather priorities and establish effective communication channels.
Translate user requirements into workflow improvements for the application.
Work with the technical team to communicate dependencies, impediments, and risks.
Required Qualifications:
- TS/SCI with Polygraph
- A bachelor’s degree and three (3) years of experience in software development/engineering and two (2) years of experience supporting the specific COTs technology product (e.g., Windows, Java, SQL and/or SQL Server, etc.). Seven (7) years of experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree.
- Experience identifying and analyzing impending problems with a COTS technology
- Experience troubleshooting and resolving issues with a COTS technology
- Experience creating, updating, or maintaining technical documentation.
- Strong interest in system engineering or system administration.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of interfacing with diverse team members, customers, and Government stakeholders.
- Willingness to learn and develop strong understanding new technologies and COTs products.
- Experience developing and/or updating technical documentation.
- Willingness to attend training the perceptive content/installer software. The certification can be obtained through Hyland.
Desired:
- Experience with agile development methodologies
- Experience the with the Atlassian Tool Suite including Confluence & Jira
- Experience with Perceptive Content or any content management or workflow management suite
- Willingness and ability to work closely with customers.
The estimated salary range for this position is between $120,000-$160,000 (annualized USD). This range reflects the typical pay for the role and is one part of the company's comprehensive compensation package. Actual salaries are influenced by several factors, such as location, the individual’s education, skills, experience, and competencies, as well as contract affordability and organizational needs.
