DRAGONCONFETTI provides sustainment, modernization, transformation and decommissioning for enterprise business systems, services and software. DRAGONCONFETTI also provides business process automation for the Business Management & Acquisition organization through Python, Robotic Process Automation (RPA) and AI/ML. Freedom provides program management for 36 distinct Task Orders throughout execution of the program supporting approximately 200 FTEs with TS/SCI with Polygraph security clearances. Freedom’s responsibilities include full lifecycle support for more than 100 applications on multiple security fabrics utilizing FOSS, COTS and GOTS solutions that support tens of thousands of users across the globe.

Our team provides expertise in program management, software engineering, DevSecOps, systems engineering, system administration, database engineering and COTS subject matter expertise for the enterprise.

We are seeking a Data Integration Systems Engineer for one of our PRIME CONTRACTS supporting mission-critical enterprise applications and services across the Government Corporate Management Solutions (CMS) portfolio. As part of this program, you will work alongside experts in software engineering, cloud computing, DevSecOps, systems engineering, and enterprise platforms to modernize legacy systems, automate business processes, and deliver innovative solutions that improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance the user experience. The work you perform will help ensure the organization has the technology, information, and capabilities needed to support its workforce and accomplish its mission.

This role will support enterprise data modernization initiatives focused on ingesting, transforming, validating and integrating operational data into enterprise systems supporting critical national security applications and systems. The ideal candidate will help design and implement automated workflows for ingesting structured spreadsheet data into enterprise databases, converting source data into JSON representations, validating data integrity and supporting integration into Pega-based workflows and reporting ecosystems. This position requires a technically versatile engineer capable of working across data pipelines, enterprise systems, reporting integrations and automation workflows while collaborating closely with developers, architects, system administrators and mission stakeholders. Successful candidates demonstrate strong ownership, initiative and sound technical judgment while working within established architectural, security and operational frameworks. The ideal candidate is capable of independently driving tasks forward, identifying gaps or risks, proposing solutions and collaborating across technical teams without requiring continuous direction or oversight.

 

Responsibilities Include:

  • Support ingestion of spreadsheet-based datasets into enterprise databases and applications
  • Develop and maintain data transformation workflows that normalize and convert structured data into formats required for system integration and data exchange.
  • Validate and troubleshoot data ingestion pipelines to ensure data integrity and operational accuracy
  • Support integration of enterprise data into Pega workflows and applications serving as systems of record
  • Collaborate with development and architecture teams to improve automation, scalability and maintainability of ingestion workflows
  • Assist with development of reporting and downstream data consumption strategies
  • Support troubleshooting, analysis and resolution of data-related operational issues
  • Work with stakeholders to understand data requirements, mappings and validation criteria
  • Participate in modernization and automation initiatives across enterprise services
  • Document data flows, interfaces, transformation logic and operational procedures

Required Qualifications

 

  • TS/SCI with Polygraph
  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline and fourteen (14) years of related experience as a Systems Engineer, Software Engineer, Data Engineer or equivalent technical role. Nineteen (19) years of experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree
  • Experience working with structured data formats including JSON, CSV and Excel-based datasets
  • Experience supporting data ingestion, transformation or ETL-style workflows
  • Experience writing automation scripts or utilities using Python or similar scripting languages
  • Experience troubleshooting data quality and validation issues
  • Familiarity with relational databases and SQL
  • Ability to work across technical teams and communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Must be able to work during core hours of M-F 10am-2pm. Exceptions will be considered on a case-by-case basis

  • Familiarity with enterprise reporting ecosystems and downstream analytics integrations
  • Experience with automation technologies including RPA or scripting frameworks
  • Understanding of enterprise data governance and system-of-record concepts
  • Ability to clearly communicate ambiguous or highly complex concepts to all audiences
  • Ability to understand the big picture and align day-to-day technical activities to enterprise mission outcomes
