About this opportunity:

Freenome is seeking a strategic, collaborative Director of Health System Marketing to lead engagement strategies that support the adoption and integration of our blood-based cancer screening solutions within health systems and organized provider networks. This role will serve as a key connector between Freenome’s clinical innovation and the operational, clinical, and executive stakeholders responsible for advancing population health and preventive care initiatives.

This leader will shape and execute integrated marketing and engagement strategies designed to support health system partnerships, strengthen customer relationships, and align cross-functional commercial priorities. 

This role reports to the VP of Marketing and is available as a remote or hybrid/onsite position with minimal travel requirements.

What you’ll do:

  • Health System Engagement Strategy: Develop and execute marketing strategies that support health system engagement, partnership growth, and adoption initiatives. Create compelling narratives and programs that align Freenome’s solutions with health system priorities including population health, preventive care, operational efficiency, quality metrics, and patient access. Partner with Strategic Accounts, Medical Affairs, Market Access, Product, and Commercial leadership to translate clinical value into compelling, system-level narratives that resonate with healthcare executives, clinical leaders, and care delivery organizations.
  • Go-to-Market Collaboration: Operates as a highly collaborative leader across Commercial, Medical Affairs, Market Access, Product, and Executive teams to align priorities and support organizational goals tied to health system growth and customer success, support go-to-market planning and execution for new products, indications, and market expansion initiatives. Ensure consistent messaging and coordinated stakeholder engagement across customer touchpoints.
  • Executive & Clinical Stakeholder Communications: Develop high-impact presentations, customer-facing materials, and engagement tools tailored to health system executives, clinical leadership, care teams, and other key stakeholders. Translate complex clinical and operational concepts into clear, concise, and relevant value propositions.
  • Strategic Account Enablement: Serve as a strategic marketing partner to the Strategic Accounts team by developing customized content, engagement strategies, and account-based initiatives that support relationship development and long-term partnership success.
  • Brand & Market Positioning: Help shape Freenome’s market positioning within the evolving cancer screening and diagnostics landscape. Ensure a consistent, credible, and differentiated brand presence across health system and provider-facing channels.
  • Market & Customer Insights: Gather and synthesize insights from customers, industry trends, competitive activity, and market dynamics to inform messaging, engagement strategies, and cross-functional decision-making.
  • Agency & Program Management: Manage external agency and vendor relationships to support the development of high-quality campaigns, materials, and strategic initiatives while maintaining budget discipline and operational efficiency.

Must haves:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, life sciences, healthcare administration, marketing, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in healthcare, diagnostics, biotech, medical device, or health system-focused marketing roles.
  • Experience developing strategies and messaging for health systems, provider organizations, or enterprise healthcare stakeholders.
  • Strong ability to translate complex clinical and operational concepts into concise, compelling communications for executive and clinical audiences.
  • Demonstrated success working cross-functionally with commercial, medical, and strategic account teams in a highly matrixed environment.
  • Strong strategic thinking, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Data-driven mindset with experience using market insights and performance metrics to guide decision-making and optimize engagement strategies.

Nice to haves:

  • Experience supporting commercialization efforts in diagnostics, oncology, preventive health, or population health.
  • Familiarity with health system decision-making processes, value-based care initiatives, and healthcare operations.
  • Experience with account-based engagement strategies and enterprise customer marketing.
  • MBA, MPH, or advanced degree in life sciences or healthcare-related field preferred.

Benefits and additional information:

The US target range of our base salary for new hires is $197,200 - $281,400. You will also be eligible to receive equity, cash bonuses, and a full range of medical, financial, and other benefits depending on the position offered.  Please note that individual total compensation for this position will be determined at the Company’s sole discretion and may vary based on several factors, including but not limited to, location, skill level, years and depth of relevant experience, and education.
