The Opportunity - Account Executive, Accountant Channel

As an Account Executive at FreshBooks, you will be a key player in our expanding Accountant Channel. Your role is vital in both driving new business and maintaining valuable existing relationships. You will be responsible for connecting with new and current partners within our Accountant Partner Program to ensure they receive an exceptional experience with FreshBooks.

Daily, you will engage with accounting partners to provide tailored solutions, offer resources, and demonstrate the value of our products and services. Reporting to the Director of the Accountant Channel, you’ll play a crucial role in building relationships, supporting partners, and showcasing how FreshBooks can support their growth and success. This role requires a proactive approach to generating new business while also nurturing and expanding our current partnerships.

This role is hybrid, meaning the team comes together in the office 2 to 3 times weekly. You must be based in Toronto and will need to travel. 

What You'll Do as an Account Executive, Accountant Channel:

  • Drive New Business: Lead the charge in expanding our Accountant Channel by proactively seeking and engaging new partners. Your outbound strategy will fuel growth and drive FreshBooks' market presence to new heights.
  • Build Pipeline: Create and manage a dynamic sales pipeline, focusing on both generating fresh opportunities and cultivating existing relationships to ensure a steady flow of business.
  • Crush Monthly Quotas: Achieve and surpass monthly sales targets through a blend of innovative outreach and strategic partner management, making a tangible impact on our growth and success.
  • Master Forecasting and Account Management: Utilize Salesforce to its fullest, ensuring precise forecasting and meticulous account maintenance. Your expertise will streamline our processes and enhance sales effectiveness.
  • Deliver Tailored Solutions: Be the go-to expert for partners, providing solutions and showcasing how FreshBooks can transform their practices. Your consultative approach will drive real, measurable value.
  • Champion FreshBooks' Value: Highlight the benefits of FreshBooks to partners and their clients, demonstrating how our platform can propel their growth and elevate their practice.
  • Be an Industry Ambassador: Represent FreshBooks with passion across the accounting community. Your role as an ambassador will build our brand, strengthen industry relationships, and establish FreshBooks as a leader.
  • Collaborate for Success: Work hand-in-hand with internal teams, including marketing, product, and customer support, to craft and execute cohesive strategies that maximize partner engagement and drive overall success.

What You'll Bring to the Role

  • Minimum of 2 years of sales experience in the SaaS industry, with a strong track record of achieving and surpassing targets.
  • Proven ability to develop and execute successful outbound sales strategies that generate new business opportunities.
  • Skilled in using CRM preferably Salesforce for effective account management, forecasting, and tracking sales activities.
  • Ability to navigate and adapt to changes, with a proactive approach to solving complex challenges.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain trusted relationships with partners and internal teams.
  • Focused on achieving measurable results and consistently delivering high performance in line with goals.
  • Experience working collaboratively with diverse teams, including marketing, product, and customer support, to drive collective success.

You'll Stand Out If You Bring Experience In

  • Experience in bookkeeping, accounting, and/or payments processing industries is preferred but not essential, a bonus if you have a big passion for the cloud accounting industry and utilizing technology to enhance the relationships between accounting professionals and business owners.
