We currently own 60 restaurants throughout LA County, various Real Estate properties throughout California and are on the verge of additional growth. Due to our growth, we are seeking a Human Resources Assistant to play a key role in our stated objective of becoming a billion-dollar organization. Position Overview:
- Process new hires, transfers, and terminations as requested across various entities.
- Follow up with appropriate departments regarding completion of onboarding paperwork.
- Processing payrolls across various entities as needed.
- Maintain off cycle check log on daily basis.
- Assist with Unemployment Claims as needed by working with Supervisors or General Managers
- Comply with garnishments, support orders and all other government and non-government agencies request in a timely manner.
- Process employee’s benefits eligibility by ensuring proper paperwork is completed.
- CalSavers Contributions management.
- Generate payroll invoices from within payroll software upon request
- Process checks replacements as requested
- Process employment verifications
- Process all types of complaints from customers, employees, and possibly vendors
- Develop and maintain internal reports, ensuring timely updates and the integrity of data
- Provides support to the Operations Teams, Accounting and Real Estate Department as well
- Communicate with all levels of customers, employees and vendors
- Lead by example in office environment.
- Maintain exceptional attendance and punctuality as part of HR Department.
- As well as all other HR and office related duties for such as filing, making copies, shredding, applying postage.
- Submit Office Supplies Order as needed.
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in restaurant or related environment
- Bi-lingual (Spanish) is required
- Exceptional oral and written communication skills
- Reliable transportation
- Capable of handling and maintaining confidential information
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Office, specifically Word and Excel
- Effective organizational, administrative and follow through skills.
- Ability to multitask and work under pressure, meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive service attitude Self-motivated and willing to do whatever it takes to get the job done accurately and on time
