Position Overview

The Clinical Annotation Manager will play a critical role in bridging clinical expertise with technology development for our innovative Digital Phenotyping Tool designed for autism care. This position is ideal for psychologists (LP) or master's level psychologists (LPA) who have experience in both diagnostic evaluations and applied behavior analysis settings. This role requires expertise in administering and scoring standardized autism diagnostic assessments (e.g., ADOS, TELE-ASD-PEDS) and familiarity with common ABA programs. The ideal candidate also brings knowledge of quality metrics related to ABA services. The position will focus on identifying and defining behaviors to be annotated, developing and training other team members on protocols, and coordinating ongoing annotation efforts in line with the goals of the team. 

The ideal candidate is someone who has enthusiasm for leveraging cutting-edge technology to make a meaningful and lasting impact in the autism field. This position requires close collaboration with product, engineering, and machine learning teams. There is also an opportunity to conduct research related to use of the digital phenotyping tool and outcomes in autism services.  

Key Responsibilities

  • Identifying and classifying behaviors aligned with diagnostic criteria of autism and ABA therapy interventions for annotation in video recordings
  • Contribute clinical expertise to research initiatives focused on expanding access to quality autism care
  • Implement annotation priorities as guided by the clinical product strategy
  • Develop and deliver training programs for clinicians on annotation protocols
  • Work closely with product, engineering, and machine learning teams to develop the digital phenotyping tool 
  • Support the ongoing development of our AI-powered prediction capabilities
  • Opportunity to contribute to research leveraging our Digital Phenotyping tool to measure clinical outcomes 
  • Opportunity to work on publication efforts related to our research
  • Working effectively with teams in India and overseas

Qualifications

Required:

  • Master's degree or PhD in Psychology, School Psychology, or related field
  • Experience administering and scoring standardized autism diagnostic assessments (e.g., ADOS, TELE-ASD-PEDS)
  • Experience working in applied behavior analysis (ABA) settings
  • Familiarity with common ABA teaching strategies, interventions, and data collection methods
  • Comprehensive knowledge of autism spectrum disorder core deficits and associated behaviors
  • Strong background in both psychological assessment and behavioral intervention approaches
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to train others on complex protocols
  • Strong project coordination experience
  • Passion for leveraging technology to make a meaningful impact in the autism field
  • We are open to this role being based in North Carolina (Remote) or Denver, Colorado (Remote & Hybrid Options).

Preferred:

  • Background in applying technology to clinical settings
  • Research experience in autism spectrum disorders
  • Understanding of machine learning principles or experience with AI applications in healthcare
  • Experience conducting, organizing, and publishing research studies

We have determined a salary range for this position that takes into account several factors including experience, knowledge, education, skills, and abilities. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline and the exact salary will be determined based on the individual’s qualifications and experience, with consideration given to the factors listed above. All full time employee benefits include a stake in shared success through stock options, health benefits, 401(k) plan, and responsible PTO.

Expected salary range in Denver

$110,000 - $125,000 USD
