About the Role: 

We are looking for a Meteorologist to join our Trading team. This Trade Floor Meteorologist will deliver timely, decision-focused weather analysis in support of our current energy trading operations. This role plays a critical part in the trading process by providing precise, risk-informed forecasts. This candidate will not be joining an established team of meteorologists, but instead will be among the initial members building out this function, offering a highly entrepreneurial environment. 

Key Responsibilities: 

• Produce accurate temperature and renewable generation forecasts tailored to trading-sensitive horizons, ranging from intraday to prompt month outlooks
• Analyze large-scale atmospheric dynamics, climate teleconnections, and numerical weather prediction models
• Monitor and assess the influence of evolving weather conditions on power demand, wind and solar generation, and transmission congestion risk
