Maintenance & Cleaning Associate

The Maintenance & Cleaning Associate is responsible for performing routine cleaning tasks as well as performing a variety of maintenance and repair tasks to ensure the smooth operation of the facility and its equipment.

Hours are Monday – Friday - 6:30AM – 3PM. 

YOU WILL:

  • Perform routine cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and sanitizing surfaces in restrooms, offices, hallways, and other assigned areas.
  • Empty trash bins and replace liners. Ensure proper disposal of waste and recyclables.
  • Clean and disinfect sinks, countertops, toilets, and bathroom fixtures. Restock restroom supplies as needed.
  • Maintain cleanliness of glass doors, windows, and mirrors.
  • Ensure walkways and workspaces are free from hazards or obstructions.
  • Identify and report maintenance issues, such as leaking faucets, broken fixtures, or electrical problems, to the manager.
  • Follow all safety procedures and guidelines while using cleaning chemicals and equipment.
  • Operate and maintain cleaning equipment such as vacuums, polishers, and buffers.
  • Properly store equipment and supplies, ensuring there is no loss or damage.
  • Assist with set-up and tear-down for meetings, events, and gatherings as requested.
  • Respond promptly to emergency maintenance requests and efficiently troubleshoot issues.
  • Identify and resolve problems pertaining to building systems, equipment malfunctions, and light carpentry.
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment by adhering to company policies and procedures.
  • Replace and install electrical outlets, fixtures, and switches; perform light carpentry and painting tasks.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Facility Manager or Supervisor.

YOU HAVE/ARE:

  • Previous experience in custodial or janitorial work is preferred.
  • Ability to operate cleaning equipment safely and effectively.
  • Basic understanding of cleaning techniques and safety protocols.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently.
  • Strong attention to detail and thoroughness in completing tasks.
  • Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds.
  • Capable of standing, walking, bending, and reaching for extended periods.
  • Ability to perform repetitive tasks in various environments.
  • A team player, cooperative, a person who easily gains trust and supports peers
  • Have an all hands on deck mentality, and is willing to pitch in with multiple team members
