As a member of our translational research team, you'll explore the forefront of scientific discovery—from developing novel assays to predict viral escape routes to designing effective antigens for potential variant coverage. 

We're Looking For:

  • Highly motivated and enthusiastic co-op students eager to dive into groundbreaking research.
  • Ability to learn new techniques and to think creatively about problem solving
  • Individuals with a background in molecular biology and cell culture with a desire to master novel techniques. Experience with immunology, virology or other vaccine related areas are a plus.

What You'll Do:

  • Conduct human sera screening assays to understand how well current vaccines work and use this data to help build models of vaccine resilience.
  • Collaborate with senior staff to develop new screening formats that increase our throughput and scale.
  • Utilize molecular and cell biology methods, such as PCR, NGS, and flow cytometry, to build and screen libraries of antigens.

Qualifications:

  • Pursuing a BS or MS in Molecular Biology, Cell Biology, or related field
  • Experience with molecular biology techniques, including DNA/RNA extraction and PCR
  • Experience with cell culture and aseptic technique
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
