Social Media Specialist
The Etsy marketplace is filled with millions of delightful products, people and stories; help us share all this and more on social media. As our Social Media Coordinator, you’ll be given opportunities to speak directly with our global audiences on Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and more in unique, creative ways. You’ll develop key skills in communicating to a diverse audience on diverse channels, and will get an inside look at how we use data, design and more in a array of marketing endeavors. You’ll report to the Director of Brand Marketing.

About the Job
- Assist with the day-to-day content development and programming for our global social channels.
- Regularly interact and engage with followers on social channels
- Track and analyze user sentiments and relevant conversations
- Monitor and report industry trends
- Assist with the development, execution and analysis of large-scale, social-focused campaigns
- Assist with the strategy development, execution and analysis for new and emerging social channels
About You
- You have experience managing social media channels
- You are a strong writer and visual storyteller with a unique voice. You understand that a picture can say a thousand words and a word can evoke a thousand pictures, and you’re good at creating both.
- You have a deep understanding of many, if not most, current and emerging social channels.
- You have a knack for coming up with creative ideas that get people talking and, perhaps most importantly, you know how to execute those ideas in a way for people to relate to them.
- You know a good tweet when you see it, and know the qualities of a social faux pas just as well.
- You’re not afraid to experiment, nor are you afraid to get your hands dirty.
- You love to learn, and can see room for improvement in all that you do.
- Data? Spreadsheets? Analytics? Totally your thing.
