Strategic E-Commerce Business Analyst
Summary:
Fusion’s e-commerce platform is in a high-growth, build-heavy phase. The vision and roadmap are clear. The focus now is on executing flawlessly, defining features deeply, and accelerating delivery.
We’re hiring a Strategic E-Commerce Analyst to help us bridge product strategy, business requirements, and delivery velocity. This role combines the strategic mindset of a Product Manager with the analytical and operational depth of a Business Analyst. You’ll define business value, translate it into actionable requirements, and help ensure our product roadmap — both current and future — is executed with clarity, speed, and measurable impact.
Key Responsibilities:
Business Partnership & Product Definition
- Partner directly with Fusion’s pricing, buying, and selling teams to uncover true business needs and translate them into product opportunities that improve usability, conversion, and revenue growth.
- Support the definition and execution of the six-month product roadmap by analyzing business needs, validating requirements, and translating high-level ideas into detailed user stories that enable design and development teams to delivery with speed and accuracy.
- Ensure every roadmap feature is fully understood, scoped, and measurable before development begins to reduce rework and increase feature delivery/development velocity.
- Collaborate with Design and Marketing on customer and seller journey mapping to ensure the platform experience drives adoption among traditional face-to-face sellers.
- Document and communicate business cases for new capabilities, quantifying ROI and aligning priorities with Fusion’s strategic goals.
Execution & Delivery Enablement
- Work hand-in-hand with engineering to clarify requirements, manage dependencies, and remove ambiguity during development.
- Maintain alignment across pricing, ops, marketing, sales, and tech stakeholders to ensure fast, coordinated decision-making.
- Participate in user acceptance testing (UAT) to confirm features meet requirements and deliver the intended business value.
- Drive clarity on acceptance criteria and test scenarios to ensure smooth handoffs from development to release.
- Tighten documentation and process consistency to help the team move faster.
Systems Thinking & Data Insight
- Understand and connect data across Fusion’s ecosystem (e-commerce platform, ERP, CRM, CMS, and APIs).
- Validate integrations and troubleshoot issues that impact customer and seller experience.
- Use analytics tools to evaluate feature performance and identify optimization opportunities.
- Leverage customer feedback, usage data, and sales insights to help identify what’s next on the roadmap with the goal of continually improving Fusion’s digital selling experience.
What Success Looks Like:
- Every feature on the current roadmap is fully defined, understood, and delivered on time or ahead of schedule.
- Product design and development teams move faster and with fewer blockers.
- The next generation of roadmap items is data-informed, customer-driven, and ready for prioritization.
- Leadership has clear visibility into ROI, performance, and impact.
Qualifications:
- 5-8+ years in e-commerce, product strategy, product manager, or business analysis.
- Deep understanding of product development processes and agile delivery.
- Experience defining and managing business requirements that translate directly into successful product launches.
- Strong analytical skills — can turn data into actionable insight and business impact.
- Excellent communication and influence skills across teams and senior leadership.
- Highly organized, focused, and comfortable operating independently in a fast-moving environment.
