Analyst, Institutional Business Development
About the job:
Future Standard is seeking an Analyst, Institutional Business Development who will be responsible for working with the distribution team to develop new relationships, support existing clients and work with the investment consultant community on behalf of the firm.
The successful candidate is expected to:
- Support the institutional team as they grow market share with key centers of influence in the institutional channel.
- Assist with strategy, data analytics and various firmwide initiatives.
- Conduct research and help develop written content and marketing materials in support of prospect development and client relationship management.
- Assist with the comprehensive due diligence undertaken on each potential client opportunity by using internal and external sources. Organize materials and coordinate logistics for meetings with clients, prospects and investment team members, when necessary.
- Assist with the creation of internal integrated distribution “playbooks” and other tools to encourage success of the external facing team including commercial opportunity, segmentation & messaging, strategy & tactics, measurement, relationship management and Key Performance Indicators.
- Track team progress, noting search trends and potential opportunities to help craft future team priorities; report findings to senior management and investment teams.
- Conduct database research to identify sources for prospecting in our ideal markets.
- Evaluate regional and national conferences to identify the best use of resources, marketing / branding and building of relationships.
- Opportunity to directly develop and support investor relationships over time as well as graduate into becoming a direct capital raiser over time
- Consistently improve and develop product knowledge and efficiencies through active involvement in company training, education and professional development programs.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required with a focus in business, finance or economics.
- At least 2-3 years of experience in financial services; knowledge of alternative investments a plus.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to synthesize and present complex information in a way that facilitates understanding.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple competing projects with finite resources.
- High standards for accuracy and work quality.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to operate comfortably and effectively on a team within a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to identify and lead process improvements while operating within established guidelines.
- Working knowledge of CRM systems and established proficiencies in Microsoft Office Suite.
- FINRA Series 7 a plus.
