Associate, Engineering
Future Standard is seeking a software development engineer to provide support to the Global Engineering team. The Analyst, Software Development Engineer will work with the Global Engineering to contribute to strategic decision-making and fostering a collaborative and educational environment while actively participating in hands-on technical enhancements and design.
About the Role
We are looking for a Full Stack Data Engineer to build and scale modern data and AI-driven applications. The role involves working across backend systems, data pipelines, and user interfaces, leveraging technologies like Python, Snowflake, dbt, Airflow, and modern Data Stack.
You will play a key role in solving complex business problems by designing end-to-end data solutions, integrating multiple data sources, and enabling analytics and insights through scalable and secure systems.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- 3–6 years of experience in data engineering, backend, or full stack development
- Strong proficiency in Python and SQL for building scalable data systems
- Hands-on experience with ETL/ELT design and data pipeline development
- Experience with dbt (data build tool) for transformation, modelling, and testing workflows
- Experience with Airflow (or similar orchestration tools) for pipeline scheduling and automation
- Strong working knowledge of Snowflake or other cloud data warehouses
- Experience integrating data from APIs, Snowflake shares, and file-based ingestion systems
- Familiarity with data quality, validation, and data lineage frameworks
- Understanding of distributed systems, NoSQL databases, and microservices architecture
- Exposure to AI/ML concepts, LLMs, or RAG-based systems is a plus
The successful candidate is expected to:
- Build and optimise scalable backend services and data pipelines using Python
- Design and implement end-to-end ETL/ELT workflows across multiple data sources
- Develop and manage data models in Snowflake for analytics and reporting
- Orchestrate workflows using Airflow and ensure pipeline reliability and observability
- Implement data quality, validation, and lineage frameworks for robust data governance
- Develop APIs and microservices to expose data and platform capabilities
- Optimise systems for performance, scalability, and cost efficiency
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business problems into technical solutions
- Ensure data security, compliance, and best engineering practices across the stack
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of AWS/Azure services
- Knowledge of AI/LLM/RAG stack
