Role Overview

We are seeking a Senior Manager of Software Engineering to lead and grow a high-performing engineering team building the core platform that powers FuturHealth’s digital health experiences. You’ll own delivery for critical initiatives, mentor engineers, and collaborate closely with Product, Design, and Data teams to deliver scalable, secure, and impactful technology solutions.

This is a hands-on leadership role ideal for someone who thrives in fast-paced, high-growth environments, balances strong technical acumen with people leadership, and is excited about scaling healthcare innovation through technology.

Key Responsibilities

  • Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and grow a team of engineers focused on web, mobile, and backend platform development.

  • Delivery Ownership: Manage sprint planning, execution, and delivery of high-quality software on time and within scope.

  • Technical Oversight: Guide architectural decisions, ensure best practices, and maintain a high technical bar across coding, testing, and deployments.

  • Collaboration: Partner with Product, Design, and Analytics teams to align technical execution with business priorities.

  • Hiring & Development: Recruit top engineering talent and foster a culture of continuous learning, ownership, and accountability.

  • Operational Excellence: Drive improvements in software development lifecycle (SDLC), DevOps practices, observability, and incident response.

  • Compliance & Security: Ensure that engineering practices align with HIPAA, HiTrust, and security standards.

About You

  • Experience:

    • 8+ years of hands-on software engineering experience, including 3+ years of engineering management or technical leadership.

    • Proven success leading software teams in high-growth, consumer-facing technology companies.

    • Strong technical depth in backend systems (Node.js, Python), modern frontend (React, Next.js), and cloud infrastructure (AWS).

  • Leadership Skills:

    • Skilled at mentoring engineers at all levels.

    • Able to balance execution with long-term architectural thinking.

    • Track record of building high-performing, diverse teams.

  • Technical Skills:

    • Deep understanding of scalable architecture, API design, microservices, and cloud-native development.

    • Familiar with infrastructure-as-code, DevOps best practices, and modern observability tools (Datadog, Sentry).

    • Comfortable operating in a compliant environment (HIPAA, HiTrust standards).

  • Mindset:

    • Data-driven, action-oriented, growth mindset.

    • Excited to solve ambiguous problems at scale.

    • Collaborative, transparent communicator with a bias toward ownership.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience building platforms in healthtech, digital health, or regulated industries.

  • Familiarity with mobile development and cross-platform frameworks (e.g., React Native).

  • Past experience working with customer data pipelines (e.g., Segment, Snowflake) or marketing attribution tools.

The pay range for this role is $210,000 - 234,000. We offer a competitive salary package and may include variable compensation. Actual compensation is based on factors such as the candidate's location, skills, qualifications, and experience.
