Global Atlantic is looking for a Senior Analyst to join the Bermuda Investor Valuation and Reporting Team. This role will be based in the Hamilton, Bermuda office and will be part of the team supporting the third-party capital Investor Reporting and Valuation team. The Senior Analyst position is a critical role responsible for supporting the valuation process, preparing investor reports, and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial data. This role offers great opportunities to interact with experienced professionals across multiple functions, including actuarial, IT, data management, finance, and reinsurance accounting. Additionally, the team focuses on providing key financial performance indicators and related metrics to key stakeholders of our third-party capital entities. The successful candidate will play a vital role in enhancing process robustness, implementing automation, and improving data management and data analytics.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Define the data required for valuation and other models, ensuring accurate data collection from various sources.
  • Coordinate with the IT department to ensure the correct data is pulled and captured in the company's Enterprise Data Hub (EDH).
  • Create and maintain processes to ensure the data feeding the actuarial models are tested and reconciled.
  • Produce and maintain process documentation.
  • Support the valuation process by providing interim data preparation support as needed.
  • Incorporate related data changes into the model governance framework and help set up and execute effective controls.
  • Identify and implement ways to streamline the flow and reconciliation of actuarial data across the valuation process to maximize efficiency and control.
  • Support automation in processes and improve data management access to data.
  • Manage financial data and possess a thorough understanding of corporate finance and insurance accounting concepts.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Finance, Engineering, or other related fields.
  • Strong communication, technical, and analytical skills.
  • Takes personal accountability for the execution of goals and objectives.
  • Able to participate in the generation of new and unique ideas.
  • Strong Data Science and Data Analytics capabilities, including experience with complex data sets, statistical analysis techniques, and data modeling.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, SQL, or SAS.
  • Ability to analyze data to identify patterns and trends, and communicate findings to stakeholders using visualization tools.
  • Experience with Business Analytics tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
  • Motivated, results-oriented person with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Works well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Persistent when developing a solution to a problem.
  • Balances the dichotomy between working with a high-caliber team and individual production.
  • Takes ownership of their responsibilities.
  • Thrives in an environment that prioritizes open and honest communication and feedback.
