POSITION SUMMARY:
Global Atlantic is seeking a strategic and results-driven professional to support the Head of Investment Accounting in managing a high-performing team and driving transformation initiatives within a complex insurance investment environment. This role is ideal for a collaborative leader with deep expertise in insurance investment accounting and a passion for continuous improvement and change management.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Support the Head of Investment Accounting in overseeing investment accounting processes ensuring accurate and timely accounting and reporting for insurance investments compliant with statutory and US GAAP regulatory reporting requirements.
- Partner with the Head of Investment Accounting to support finance transformation initiatives to modernize investment accounting processes, data governance and reporting. Prioritizing and implementing enhancements, planning appropriately for changes and understanding the interdependencies across financial systems.
- Collaborate with IT, actuarial, risk, investment teams and other finance functions to ensure alignment and successful execution of transformation initiatives.
- Represent the investment accounting function in cross-functional initiatives and governance forums.
- Develop capabilities across the team to meet both current and future needs of the accounting operation and the enterprise; fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration and continuous learning.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance, CPA preferred.
- 10+ years accounting or auditing experience w/ insurance investment accounting experience; US GAAP and US STAT.
- 5+ years management experience.
- Proficiency in Clearwater and data tools (Excel, Power BI, Alteryx, etc.) preferred.
- Proven leadership experience with a track record of successfully managing teams, multiple projects and delivering results in a fast-paced, regulated and evolving public insurance environment.
- Demonstrated success in leading or supporting finance transformation or system implementation projects.
- Proven ability to execute thoroughly in a fast-paced work environment, adapting quickly to changing conditions to achieve results.
- Excellent influencing abilities to engage multiple teams towards achieving collective goals.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization and across operational, functional, and technical disciplines.
- Highly advanced level of investigative, analytical and problem-solving skills.

Various jurisdictions have passed pay transparency laws that require companies provide salary ranges for any positions for which they are accepting applications. Global Atlantic has offices in Atlanta, Batesville, Bermuda, Boston, Des Moines, Hartford, Indianapolis, and New York City. The base salary range posted below is inclusive of the lowest cost of living geography to the highest in which we have a Global Atlantic office.
Global Atlantic’s base salary range is determined through an analysis of similar positions in the external labor market. Base pay is just one component of Global Atlantic’s total compensation package for employees and at times we hire outside the boundaries of the salary range. Other rewards may include annual cash bonuses, long-term incentives (equity), generous benefits (including immediate vesting on employee contributions to a 401(k), as well as a company match on your contributions), and sales incentives. Actual compensation for all roles will be based upon geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer. Compensation for our more senior positions have a larger component of short-term cash bonus and long-term incentives.
The base salary range for this role is
$126,500 - $241,200 USD
